Lyodra Releases Debut Album, Was Confused for 3 Days Because of Choosing the Main Song

Kapanlagi.com - Beautiful singer Lyodra Ginting has released an album named LYODRA under the label Universal Music Indonesia. This marks Lyodra's debut album in her career in the Indonesian music industry. The album consists of eight songs.

Four of them have been previously released as singles. Such as Gemintang Hatiku, Mengapa Kita #TerlanjurMencinta, Tentang Kamu, and Sabda Rindu. The other four songs are Kalau Bosan, Oee.. Oee.. Oe.., Dibanding Dia, and Pesan Terakhir.

The Indonesian Idol graduate singer feels happy about the release of her debut album. Actually, the LYODRA album was planned to be released in 2020, but it was hindered by the Covid-19 pandemic.

"This is my debut album, it's something that brings so much happiness that can't be described. I'm very excited about this album. I named it LYODRA because it's my first album with my own name and it has a unique meaning," said Lyodra in a virtual press conference on Thursday (15/7/2021).

1. Collaborating with Top Musicians

Working on the LYODRA album, this singer from Medan collaborated with several top musicians in the country. They are Ade Govinda, Dhipa Barus, Laleilmanino, and many more.

Lyodra faced many obstacles while working on this album. One of the main challenges was the Covid-19 pandemic. That's also what hindered Lyodra from releasing the album.

"The production of this album was filled with joy, touched, and hindered by Covid, we couldn't shoot or do other things, there were many obstacles. I'm really happy that it's finally released. I enjoyed working on this album, I could also contribute my ideas without feeling awkward," said Lyodra.

2. Troubled in Choosing the Main Song

Lyodra said that it took her about a year to complete her first album.

"The process took almost a year because it kept getting delayed. The music video shoot was supposed to be finished, but it got postponed for a whole year. It was supposed to be at the end of 2020," explained Lyodra.

Out of the eight songs in the LYODRA album, this 18-year-old singer chose one single as her main song, which is Kalau Bosan (If Bored). Interestingly, Lyodra had a hard time choosing the main song for this album, she was troubled for three days.

"I was also troubled about which direction our song should focus on, I was troubled for three days. Kalau Bosan is a song about ghosting, maybe more bucin (obsessed). Many people can relate to their love life. This song was previously about ghosting. I honestly have never been ghosted, but I have ghosted others," concluded Lyodra.
