Kapanlagi.com - The music group Maliq & D'Essentials will release their latest single titled Aduh. This song will be Maliq & D'Essentials' first single after returning to Warner Music Indonesia. It should be noted that the band, consisting of Angga, Widi, Indah, Jawa, Lale, and Ilman, previously joined Warner Music Indonesia from 2004 to 2010.
Together with Warner Music Indonesia, they have produced several albums. Maliq & D'Essentials' drummer, Widi Puradiredja, revealed that their reunion with Warner Music Indonesia feels like going back to 2005 when they released their debut album, 1st.
"It feels like having our first album again. We used to be independent. There were many things that, in our opinion, needed a partner. Let's not talk for long, let's walk. There was no complicated conversation, the process was very fast," said Widi during a press conference in the Senopati area, South Jakarta, on Monday (13/11/2023).
"And there was no other option, at that time if we wanted to go major, we had to go back to Warner. So we continue our love story with Warner. From the beginning, we had a condition that if we go major, no one is allowed to enter our studio. So we did this ourselves, and when we gave it to Warner, they liked it," added Widi.

Together with Warner Music Indonesia, Maliq & D'Essentials have prepared a number of new works. In addition to presenting the single Aduh, they also plan to release a new album. Widi admitted that the songs that will be included in Maliq D'Essentials' new album are ready to be released.
"So actually everything is already done, Aduh is actually the last song that happened to come but became the option for the first single. Initially, there were only five songs that we wanted, at least five but it seems like there will be more. We don't know if those five are already there," said Widi.

Meanwhile, Triari Senawirawan, Managing Director of Warner Music Indonesia, welcomes the return of Maliq & D'Essentials. Triari mentioned that Maliq D'Essentials has works with songs that have a far-reaching vision.
"For us, it feels like welcoming home. For us, Maliq's songs are eternal, that's why we have also released their songs sung by our young artists. Maliq, in my opinion, is a visionary band. And we believe in Maliq's vision, and with the connections we have, we can bring Maliq's music to be played abroad," concluded Triari Senawirawan.
