Kapanlagi.com - For the first time, three different genre singers, Marion Jola, Danilla, and rapper Ramengvrl, collaborated to release a single titled 'Don't Touch Me' with lyrics that address the theme of women empowerment.
"Speaking of lyrics, personally, I wanted to make an album that talks about women, so we ended up creating lyrics based on our personal experiences," said Marion Jola during a virtual press conference on Thursday (10/6).
Through this song, Marion Jola wants to tell a story about the injustice that women often experience. She also admits to often feeling harassed and objectified.
"From my perspective, I often feel harassed or objectified, we tell the story of women who are not treated fairly," said Marion Jola.
Not only Marion Jola, but Danilla has also experienced sexual harassment, even when she was still a child. It became a lesson for her that as a woman, she must be able to protect herself.
"I have a story of being touched on the chest and kissed by someone in my house when I was in elementary school. That was a lesson for me that women should not wear certain clothes. But again, if we love ourselves, we should be able to protect ourselves. We can freely express ourselves, but we need to be aware of the risks," she concluded.
