Meiska's Story About the Album 'Hanya Figuran', Some of the Most Emotional and Difficult

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Meiska Adinda has just released her debut album titled Hanya Figuran with Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia (SMEI) on July 12, 2024. Meiska talks about the five new songs in the album.

In the album Hanya Figuran, there are five new songs and five songs that Meiska has released since 2022. Out of the 10 songs presented, the common theme is about someone's heartbreak and sadness because they are not made the main character in their love story.

"I chose the theme of heartbreak because it's like my identity is attached to sad songs. All the songs here have a similar story about being a second choice. The songs are sad but there are two songs that are slightly upbeat," said Meiska Adinda in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta recently.

1. Five New Songs

The five new songs presented by Meiska in the album Hanya Figuran are Buang Waktu, Senang Senang, Hilang, Keras Kepala, Pulihkan Hati, and Kadung Merindu. Among these five, Buang Waktu is very personal because it is Meiska's own creation.

"From the beginning, I really liked the song Buang Waktu, I wrote it myself based on personal experiences. Recently, I came up with a new notation for Buang Waktu and I have been working on it for the past few months," explained Meiska.

Meanwhile, Meiska admitted that Keras Kepala was the most difficult song. Both in the production and recording process, Keras Kepala had its own challenges during the making.

2. High Difficulty Level

Aside from having complex melodies, Keras Kepala also underwent many revisions. Eventually, Keras Kepala was simplified and combined with Meiska's beautiful voice, making the song enjoyable to listen to.

"Indeed, the most difficult song to record. I put a lot of effort into recording it because of its high difficulty level. The reason for the revisions was because there were many changes in the modules or transitions of the melody. In the end, it was made into a simpler version," Meiska expressed.

3. Consistently Engaging in the Music Industry of the Homeland

With 10 beautiful songs, Meiska hopes that Hanya Figuran can be well received by music lovers in Indonesia. She also considers Hanya Figuran as evidence or a promise of her consistency in the Indonesian music industry.

"This also marks the evidence of my early journey on the map of Indonesian music. As time goes by, this album will become a memory that I will always remember," she concluded.
