Mezzaluna Putri Bimbim Slank Interested in Singing Slank Songs with Different Genres

Kapanlagi.com - Bimbim Slank's daughter, Mezzaluna D'Azzuri, has just released a single titled In Situ under the management of OffMute, a label formed by Sony Music Entertainment. This marks Mezzaluna's debut as a professional singer.

Although she is a newcomer to the Indonesian music industry, Mezzaluna has prepared a number of works. In fact, after this song, she plans to release her debut album.

"There will definitely be more songs prepared and a lot of songs will be launched. Personally, I want to be someone who inspires my generation," said Mezzaluna in a virtual press conference on Thursday (23/9/2021).

In addition to her own creations, Mezzaluna is also interested in covering Slank's songs in different genres. There are several Slank songs that are Mezzaluna's favorites, including Poppies Lane Memory, Terbunuh Sepi, and the popular song Ku Tak Bisa.

"It's a good idea to maybe re-record them in my own genre. Terbunuh Sepi, Poppies Lane Memory, and the most famous one, Ku Tak Bisa," she said.

1. Doesn't Want to be Shadowed by the Name Bimbim Slank

Mezzaluna's career in the Indonesian music industry could have been smooth and easy, considering that her father is one of the famous musicians in the country. However, Mezzaluna doesn't want her music career to be overshadowed by her father's figure.

"She (Mezzaluna) doesn't want to have her father's name attached. That's why she chose Sony Music, hoping to break free from her father's shadow and be able to spread her music not only in Indonesia," said Bimbim.
