Kapanlagi.com - The English rock band, Muse, is confirmed to hold a concert in Jakarta. The concert will take place on September 19, 2025, at Carnaval Ancol under the title MUSE LIVE IN JAKARTA.
Muse's presence is part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Hammersonic Festival. This moment also serves as a long-awaited reunion for Muse fans who have been looking forward to their arrival in the homeland.
"We will announce the concert that has been discussed and anticipated, we are bringing a big rock band, Muse," said Ravel Junardy, CEO of Ravel Entertainment, during a press conference in Cikini, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (12/6/2025).
Ravel explained that Muse is one of the legendary rock bands with a long history with Indonesian fans. He felt compelled to bring the band back after a long absence from the Jakarta stage.
"Muse actually hasn't been to Indonesia for a long time, and when they came, they didn't have many hit songs like they do now. But they have transformed into an extraordinary legendary band, so I want to invite them to Indonesia," he said.
Interestingly, the process of bringing Muse to Indonesia has been quite smooth and fast. In fact, Ravel said that Muse confirmed their performance in Jakarta before Foo Fighters.
"If Muse is smoother, it’s actually Muse who confirmed first before Foo Fighters. So they’re not too much into it, more relaxed, simple, so the dealings are very, very smooth with Muse," he said.
Ravel revealed that the offer to perform actually came from Muse first. He immediately welcomed the opportunity without hesitation.
"I was offered by them, they want to come to Indonesia, so we just took it," he said.
Regarding the stage concept, Ravel mentioned that Muse will bring a magnificent and different stage setup compared to previous concerts. In fact, according to him, Muse's stage setup will be cooler than the concerts of Saosin and Green Day that were held in Jakarta earlier.
"It will definitely be an extraordinary stage setup that they will bring, special. Muse is better because Muse has better lighting and stage set than their own," he continued.
As for the setlist, Ravel has not been able to leak the songs that will be performed. However, he assured that Muse has sent a stage design that impressed him.
"The setlist hasn’t been released yet. So up until now I am still waiting for all of that. So far they have sent the stage images they want, and I think they are really great. So one of the shows that might be very good, which I will also watch later," he said.
Muse's concert equipment will be brought directly from abroad. This is because Muse is only scheduling concerts in Indonesia and Japan as part of this year's tour.
"Surely Muse will bring their own stuff. Since the tour is only in Indonesia and Japan, as far as I know up to this point. So they will definitely bring their own equipment," Ravel explained.
For the shipment of equipment, Ravel mentioned that usually Muse rents their own cargo plane. The quantity is not trivial, it can reach one to two full planes.
"Usually they charter their own cargo. Maybe two or one plane, full from them," he said.
Regarding who will be the opening band at the upcoming Muse concert, Ravel stated that there has not been an official decision yet. However, he did not rule out the possibility of an announcement in the near future.
"So far there is none," he said briefly.
As for ticket prices, the promoter has set a scheme similar to previous international concerts. There are three categories offered, with prices starting from Rp1.7 million to Rp2.8 million.
The details are, Category 3 tickets are sold for Rp1.7 million, Category 2A and B for Rp2.3 million, and Category 1A and B are priced at Rp2.8 million. This price is expected to reach Muse fans from various backgrounds.
