Kapanlagi.com - After more than a year of hiatus, the girl group V1RST finally returns to the Indonesian music scene with their latest single titled "Oopsie." This song is ready to bring a different atmosphere, full of color and excitement, reintroducing V1RST's energy with a fresh and playful touch.
In "Oopsie," V1RST showcases a cheeky side that reflects the personalities of each of its seven members. More than just style, they want to convey a positive message about appreciating women's beauty in all its forms.
"We want to create something that is truly relatable to our generation. We're going back to the cheeky era. The music video is like a W2K series," said Alexandra Jessica, one of the members, at a press conference in Kemang, South Jakarta, on Saturday (26/10/2024).
V1RST is under the guidance of Patrick Effendy, a figure who has successfully managed idol groups like Coboy Junior and UN1TY with Kapital Entertainment. Patrick revealed that the idea to form V1RST arose from the increasing interest of the audience in the idol group concept, which is now becoming more popular.
"Because managing solo artists is complicated. We believe idols can collaborate well. But for soloists, if they want to explore again and separate, it can be difficult," he said.

As a major supporter of the idol group ecosystem in Indonesia, Patrick sees that fandom in Indonesia has great potential but has not been maximally developed.
"We believe more in idols, and even more in fandom. Because fandom in Indonesia has not been explored," said Patrick.
The single "Oopsie" is produced directly by Patrick along with Eka Gustiwana as the music director, ensuring a different and unique music quality from V1RST. With the involvement of these two professionals, V1RST hopes to present a more mature and classy work, without losing the playful side that has become their hallmark.
In this comeback, V1RST carries a more mature and bold concept, reflecting the members' development which is now more refined. They want to show their true identity through fresher music, in line with their age and experience in the entertainment industry.
Patrick Effendy added that this comeback is also a special moment to celebrate V1RST's second anniversary.
"We really want to present a completely new gang. We also want to celebrate their second birthday. This is the fourth single. Hopefully, it will be more widely recognized, fans will expand, and the song will become something new,” he stated.
For fans who are already curious, the single “Oopsie” will officially be released on November 1, 2024, complete with a music video that is guaranteed to be really cool. V1RST hopes this song can receive a warm welcome and bring a new color to the Indonesian music industry. If not now, when?
