Performing at JogjaROCKarta Festival, Powerslaves Ready to Surprise

Kapanlagi.com - JogjaROCKarta Festival #4 music festival will be held on March 1, 2020 at Kridosono Stadium in Yogyakarta. Two world-class bands, Scorpions and Whitesnake, have been confirmed to attend the event.

In addition to these two world-class bands, several famous local bands will also enliven the JogjaROCKarta Festival. Starting from God Bless, Death Vomit, Powerslaves, Navicula, to Kelompok Penerbang Roket. One of the local bands performing at JogjaROCKarta Festival, Powerslaves, is apparently ready to perform at the event.

"This is an extraordinary concert because it invites two legendary bands that are both my idols when I was in elementary and junior high school, and I can't imagine now being on the same stage with my idol world-class bands," said Wiwiex Soedarno, keyboardist of Powerslaves, on Friday (21/2/2020).

"Nervous, worried, excitement, and enthusiasm are mixed into one. However, they are not only seniors but also my idols. Until now, I still remember their songs," said Heydi Ibrahim, vocalist of Powerslaves.

1. Prepare Yourself

Not wanting to disappoint Slavers in particular and rock music enthusiasts in general, Powerslaves is preparing themselves as best as possible. Alongside Death Vomit, God Bless, Navicula, Kelompok Penerbang Roket, and the rock band from Mongolia, The Hu, Heydi Ibrahim and the others are ready to perform excellently and will present a repertoire that is most relevant to the JogjaROCKarta event.

"We always enjoy performing each of our songs on stage. There has never been a dissatisfying moment. Even if there are technical problems on stage, we always prepare Plan B to ensure the concert continues without significant disruptions. We must deliver the best," said Wiwiex Soedarno.

2. Performing Old and New Songs

During the JogjaROCKarta event, Powerslaves will perform a number of songs from their old and new albums.

"We will perform rock songs (rock n roll, hard rock) as well as medium beat songs and, of course, our hit songs. Most of Powerslaves' hit songs are known to be pop rock ballads, but they are still rock genre, so we will still perform them," said Anwar Fatahillah, the bassist of Powerslaves.

3. A Surprise

In addition, Powerslaves will surprise at the JogjaROCKarta Festival by performing one song from the album Ga Bakal Mati (2004). The vocalist in this album is not Heydi Ibrahim but Njet 'The Flowers', so performing it on stage is the first time for Heydi Ibrahim.

"Watch us live at JogjaROCKarta. If we mention the title now, it won't be a surprise anymore. See you there, Slavers," said Heydi Ibrahim.
