For the First Time, Afgan Holds a Charity Concert to Fund Scholarships

Kapanlagi.com - Together with Kitabisa.com, musician Afgansyah Reza presents a charity concert for the first time titled "Konser Amal Afgan" on Friday (24-1) night at M Bloc Space, South Jakarta. This concert is held to fund education scholarships.

"My reason is that I have several campaigns with Kitabisa. During the campaign activities, we visited hospitals and Yogyakarta, where the children who received Afgan's scholarships are. I wanted to do something more," said Afgan.

"I have never held a charity concert before, in my entire singing career this is the first time. We put a lot of passion into this. It's not just about having fun, but also about helping people," he said during a press conference.

1. Having a Positive Influence

The 30-year-old solo singer is happy to be able to hold his first charity concert because it has a positive influence on others.

"I feel really happy and grateful. I have the opportunity to help people. The tickets are sold out and I'm really happy, so we can give back. Hopefully, this is not the last time," said Afgan.

2. Fundraising

Furthermore, this moment also marks the launch of a fundraising website released by the singer of the song 'Sadis'. The website will contain positive programs that Afgan cares about, such as medication for the sick, education for younger siblings, and environmental issues.

So far, ticket sales and donations have accumulated up to IDR 215 million. Through the Hoshizora Foundation, the funds will be given to flood victims and educational scholarships.
