Start 2020 Rocket Rockers Release Reaksi Rasa Tropical Remix Version

Kapanlagi.com - 2020 is a special year for the Pop Punk band Rocket Rockers, because this year the band, now led by Aska (Vocals, Guitar), Bisma (Bass), and Ozom (Drums), celebrates 21 years of working in the Indonesian music industry.

As a new beginning after losing two members, Ucay (Vocals-2013) and Lowp (Guitar-2018), Rocket Rockers released the single Reaksi Rasa with three different music videos that match the characteristics of each member during their tour in Japan in September 2018. And on January 17, 2020, a new step was taken as Aska and his friends released the song Reaksi Rasa with a "Tropical Remix" version.

Reaksi Rasa itself is a song that tells about coffee and all its analogies, which can give a broader meaning to life, not just black and white.

"The song Reaksi Rasa is about coffee, where we are taught not only to judge something based on its cover, like coffee, black doesn't necessarily mean bad and white doesn't necessarily mean clean. Plus, why coffee is special to me is because I first met my life partner at a coffee shop, so this song can also serve as a reminder of that beautiful moment," explained Aska as the songwriter of Reaksi Rasa.

1. Re-release with Different Version

The reason Rocket Rockers re-released the song Reaksi Rasa with a different version is to expand the audience of their music, especially to the current millennial generation.

"So we often hang out in coffee shops, and because coffee shops are not just ordinary stalls or coffee shops anymore, but now they have become lounges with chill music, we thought it would be great if the song Reaksi Rasa could be played in cafes with a club lounge style, so why not remix the song," said Bisma.

For the production process of the song Reaksi Rasa Tropical Remix Version, Aska, Bisma, and Ozom were assisted by Kurniawan Wicaksono, an EDM music producer, with a process that took about a week.

"For the production of this Reaksi Rasa Tropical Remix, we were assisted by our friend, Kurni, who is also an EDM music producer, so the process was fast, only about a week," said Aska.

2. General People's Reaction to Listening to the Song

If the song Reaksi Rasa with Pop Punk music has 3 music videos according to the characters of the three Rocket Rockers personnel, for the Reaksi Rasa Tropical Remix Version music video, it is directed directly by Aska Pratama with the concept of People Reaction or highlighting the reactions of people when listening to this song.

"For the music video, we shot it in Bali and we took the concept of people's reactions when listening to this song. Some like it, some don't, and we show it all in the video," said Ozom.
