Ready to Stay Up All Night, Synchronize Fest 2020 Comes to SCTV Until Morning

Kapanlagi.com - The Covid-19 pandemic has affected music festivals, including Synchronize Fest 2020. The event, which features hundreds of local bands, had to be canceled in 2020 due to the ongoing pandemic. This is certainly disappointing for the majority of young audiences of Synchronize Fest.

However, the disappointment will be alleviated as Synchronize Fest will still be held. With the theme of "Celebrating Together with Television", this year, Synchronize Fest will be broadcast on SCTV on November 14, 2020, from 21:45 to 01:00 WIB. David Karto, the Festival Director of Synchronize Fest, said that this concept had been discussed since March when the pandemic began.

"The process actually started in March when the pandemic began, we started discussing and finding solutions. Initially, we always held it at Gambir Expo, and we initially wanted Synchronize to run off air, but we found it quite difficult. We tried to find another venue, namely GBK, but in the end, we closed the book. Finally, we discussed it and Kiki initiated the idea to broadcast it on TV until we met with Emtek friends and initiated entry into SCTV," said David Karto during a virtual press conference on Monday (19/10/2020).

1. Bring Top Bands

Similar to previous years, Synchronize Fest 2020 also brings many top bands in the country. Starting from Andika Mahesa, Iga Massardi, Koil, Tipe-X, The Upstairs, Marion Jola, Pee Wee Gaskins, Rocket Rockers, Rhoma Irama, Iwan Fals, Kangen Band Reunion, NDX Aka, Iwa K, and many others.

"On air because of his hobby of creating old band reunions, this year there is a Kangen Band reunion. Koil, The, S.I.G.I.T, Scaller, Rhoma without Soneta collaborate with Dipha Barus. Iwan Fals with Syarikat Idola Remaja, Iga Massardi with Andra Ramadhan. There's Steven, there's Tipe-X. So anyone who becomes a spotlight in the industry. Originally, Rocket Rockers' reunion was planned too, but it's not possible for this year," said Kiki Ucup, Program Director of Synchronize Fest.

2. Collaboration with SCTV

For Kiki Ucup, Synchronize Fest appearing on SCTV is the only way for Synchronize Fest to be held during the pandemic. Fortunately, SCTV is willing to collaborate in bringing the Synchronize Fest music festival to television.

"Actually, the objective we want to pursue is how we can still hold the festival this year and can be enjoyed by many people. That's why we tried to go on TV. I noticed that TV rarely showcases continuous music events, there are no music performances on TV anymore. That's why we looked for a TV partner who could deliver our celebration," concluded Kiki Ucup.
