The song Stars is taken from a very touching story, namely the story of a 19-year-old young man named Xavier. At a young age, Xavier has been diagnosed with cancer. In fact, he has been told that his life will not last long.

"Actually, this song is a discussion with myself, so I made a song about someone who doesn't have much time left in this world. He already knows that and how he spends his remaining time by just enjoying his life," said Arash Buana at a virtual press conference on Friday (26/2/2021).

The song Stars is written with English lyrics. The singer, born in Jakarta on June 12, 2003, said that writing lyrics in English is not because he wants to look cool, but because he wants his song to be heard internationally.

"The reason why I don't use Indonesian language is not because English is cooler. But, specifically, there are people who complain 'you use Indonesian language in daily life, why can't you write Indonesian songs?'. Well, because writing songs has a formula," said Arash Buana.

"Maybe some songwriters don't have a formula, they just pour out what's on their mind. For me, I am heavily influenced by foreign singers. But now, what I emphasize is English because I want to have a career in America," added Arash Buana.

Seeing from the touching story of the song Stars, Arash Buana hopes that the wider society can appreciate and love whatever they have, whether it's friends, lovers, or family. According to him, it can all disappear in an instant.

"I want people who listen to this to respect at all times, and this song is also not just for couples. But for family and appreciate time by spending it with valuable people," concluded Arash Buana.
