Rohan Simboon Makes Debut with Pasto Through Single 'Kisah Kasih di Sekolah' Modern Version

Kapanlagi.com - After experiencing changes in personnel, this time Pasto presents a sibling duo named Rohan and Sion Simbolon. Rohan, who has just joined, made his debut with Pasto through the single Kisah Kasih di Sekolah which is a remake of Obbie Messakh's song.

Rohan's presence brings a new color to the fans. Now, Pasto sounds fresher and more contemporary, making their music very suitable for today's millennial generation.

"We present it with a new style, a contemporary millennial style. We give our own touch to this song. We package it with beats and melodies that truly represent the music of young people today. In the past, Obie Meskah's era was very old-fashioned, so we package it in a new and modern way," said Rohan about the single Kisah Kasih di Sekolah.

1. Reasons for Recycling 'Kisah Kasih di Sekolah'

Not without reason, Rohan and Sion recycled this song. Apparently, they wanted to introduce today's millennial children to Indonesian songs that were once hits in the past. And the song Kisah Kasih Di Sekolah was considered a perfect fit for this category.

"Why did we recycle this song? Because now is the era of millennial children, where junior high and high school students mostly listen to adult songs and foreign songs. We want to reintroduce it to the current generation, this is the song from our time, the time when everyone experienced puppy love in school. So we are reintroducing it to today's millennial children," explained Sion.

2. Soundtrack for 'Dari Jendela SMP'

So far, the version of the song Kisah Kasih di Sekolah by Pasto has received a very positive response from the public. In fact, the song was immediately chosen as the soundtrack for the soap opera Dari Jendela SMP which airs on SCTV.

"Our hope is that this song can be accepted by all groups because it is our effort made with hard work," concluded Sion.
