Ruth Sahanaya Holds 'Symphony from the Heart' Concert, Collaborates with Yura Yunita and Once

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Ruth Sahanaya will hold a solo concert titled 'Symphony from the Heart' to celebrate her 40-year journey in the music industry. Promoted by Renjana Productions, this concert will take place at Plenary Hall, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on June 22, 2024.

In this concert, Tohpati has been appointed as the musical director. For Tohpati, being involved in Ruth Sahanaya's concert is a long-awaited honor.

"This is one of my dreams, I've been thinking, 'When can I have the opportunity to be the music director for Uthe's (Ruth Sahanaya's nickname) concert?'"," said Tohpati during a press conference at 1920 Lounge & Bar, Kemang Jakarta Selatan, on Tuesday (6/11) yesterday.

"I saw Uthe in a concert at TIM, she performed with Yovie Widianto and I've been a fan of hers since long ago," added Tohpati.

Ruth Sahanaya also feels the same way. In fact, the singer, who is called Mama Uthe, admitted that she has long wanted to collaborate with Tohpati.

"I feel really happy, one of my desires is to be together with bontot (Tohpati). Just like him, I also think, 'When will I be directed by bontot? He keeps helping famous singers, when can I have a reunion too?'," said Ruth Sahanaya.

2. Also Collaborating with Once and Yura Yunita

In her solo concert, Ruth Sahanaya will perform about 30 songs that have been part of her career journey. "After careful consideration, there will be 21 production numbers and 30 songs," said Ruth Sahanaya.

What's special is that this 57-year-old singer will also collaborate with a number of talented singers such as Yura Yunita, Afgansyah Reza, Once, and Silet Open Up.

"Afgan and Yura Yunita have covered my songs before. Once is my favorite singer," said Ruth Sahanaya.

"Uthe is from the East, so there must be a representative from the East. Well, Silet Open Up is also popular now," added Tohpati.
