Simple Plan Successfully Rocks Everblast Festival, Vocalist Mentions 'Thank You' in Indonesian 9 Times

Kapanlagi.com - Canadian music group, Simple Plan, became one of the most anticipated performers on the first day of Everblast Fest held at Ji-Expo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (4/3/2023). Simple Plan successfully captivated thousands of spectators with the songs they performed from the stage.

Simple Plan performed at the Everblast Stage, around 8:30 PM. Pierre Bouvier, Sebastien Lefebvre, Chuck Comeau, and Jeff Stinco started their performance with the song I'd Do Anything. After that, they immediately greeted their fans from the stage.

"Good evening Jakarta," shouted Pierre, using Indonesian language.

"Thank you so much. Terima kasih," Pierre continued.

"Everybody makes some noise," the vocalist shouted and then continued singing the song Shut Up.

1. Nostalgia

Simple Plan's performance truly made the audience nostalgic with the songs they performed on stage. It's no wonder, as they performed a total of 16 songs, most of which were released in the early 2000s. Pierre expressed his happiness to be able to perform in Indonesia again. That's why they truly gave a powerful performance at the event.

"I'm glad to be back in Indonesia. Let's party tonight. Thank you, I love you all. It's been a long time since I last came here. It's truly a beautiful country. We won't be away for long, we'll come here often," said Pierre.

2. 9 Times Expressing Gratitude

There was something interesting about Simple Plan's performance at Everblast Fest. Pierre, the vocalist, repeatedly said "thank you" in Indonesian. He said it after singing a song on stage. In fact, if counted, Pierre said "Terima Kasih" (thank you) nine times.

Furthermore, the drummer of Simple Plan, Chuck Comeau, also put on an impressive show. He even did stage diving and crowd surfing. The audience carried Chuck Comeau's body using their hands.

3. Exciting Performance

Not only that, the vocalist also did an impressive act. When singing the song Summer Paradise, Pierre also rolled some big balloons with 'Simple Plan' written on them to the audience. Of course, this became an unusual sight where the big balloons were flying above the audience's heads.

"Indonesia is very special to Simple Plan. This is a beautiful place. I love Indonesia," concluded Pierre, the vocalist.

Overall, Simple Plan's performance successfully impressed and satisfied the audience. Some of the hit songs they sang include Jump, I'm Just A Kid, Jet Lag, Addicted, Perfect, Welcome to My Life, Summer Paradise, Crazy, Wake Me Up (When This Nightmare's Over), as well as a medley of Sk8er Boi by Avril Lavigne and Mr. Brightside by The Killers.
