Kapanlagi.com - The band Slank successfully performed on the third day of Synchronize Fest 2023 held at JiExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (3/9/2023). The band, based in Potlot, took the stage at the Dynamic Stage around 15:15 WIB.
Slank opened their performance with several songs at once, such as "I Miss U But I Hate U", followed by "Birokrasi Komplex", "Virus", and "Kupu-Kupu Liar".
On stage, Kaka the vocalist invited the Synchronize Fest audience to take off their shirts if they felt hot. "Feel free to take off your shirt if it’s this hot. Unisex is allowed," said Kaka from the stage after singing the song "Kupu-Kupu Liar".
Then, the song "Mars Slankers", "Lorong Hitam", and "Rainwater Coffee" were performed by Slank from the stage. While singing the song "Rainwater Coffee", Kaka made a statement regarding the condition of Indonesia.
"Indonesia has a lot of natural wealth, but we want to get this, that, a little of this, that. In fact, if shared equally, it can be done, it must be managed together," said Kaka.
"Our grandfather, our heroes fought for us to be modern, to be educated so that we can think wisely. We can continue the struggle of the heroes," Kaka said, then sang the refrain of the song "Rainwater Coffee".
After singing "Rainwater Coffee", Bimbim, the drummer of Slank, sang a snippet of the lyrics "Happy Birthday To You". The song was dedicated to Ridho, the guitarist of Slank, who is celebrating his 50th birthday today. Then, other members, such as Kaka, Ivan, and Abdee, joined in singing the song "Happy Birthday To You".
Not long after, Mama Iffet came up on stage. While sitting in a wheelchair, Bimbim's mother immediately presented a birthday cake for Ridho. After that, Slank continued their performance with the song "Bidadari Penyelamat" sung by Bimbim.
Then, the songs "Terlalu Manis", "Poppies Lane Memory", and "Orkes Sakit Hati" were performed by Slank from the stage. Interestingly, when playing the song "Orkes Sakit Hati", Kaka invited several female audience members onto the stage.
Certainly, the presence of several audience members made the stage atmosphere even more lively and festive. Then, at the end of their performance, Slank sang another song from the album PLUR, namely "Ku Tak Bisa".
