Start of 2021, Rocket Rockers and Kuburan Present Unique Collaboration Through Single KRNY

Kapanlagi.com - At the beginning of 2021, two bands of different genres, Rocket Rockers and Kuburan, released a collaborative single. Many unique things are present in this collaboration single from the two bands from Bandung. Starting from the spontaneous collaboration idea to the title of this collaboration single.

Yes, initially this collaboration was not planned far in advance. It started from Rocket Rockers' vocalist, Aska, who had a song. This work has been recorded in its demo version, but after listening to it, Aska felt that the song had 'funny' lyrics and music. Coincidentally, Kuburan visited Rocket Rockers' basecamp.

"I felt like I had a revelation 'why not invite them?' And finally, I shot the idea right away. After Kuburan listened to the song, they liked it, and then they immediately took it for their guide. Alhamdulillah, we can still pursue what RR has been actively doing, which is regeneration, adaptation, and collaboration," said Aska.

1. Unique Things Arise From the Title

As previously stated, another unique thing arises from the title of this collaboration. KRNY was chosen as the title of the collaboration song between Rocket Rockers and Kuburan. This song tells about the daily life that changes during the pandemic, such as wearing masks, staying at home, and keeping a distance. So, what is the meaning of KRNY?

"The title is because I remember there were several hit songs with abbreviations as titles like J.A.P, C.I.N.T.A. Plus, now there is a hit movie called NKCTHI with a similar title. Although KRNY is not an abbreviation. Friends will know the answer when they listen to the chorus of this song," explained Aska.

2. In Harmony With the Music Played by Kuburan

Musically, the song KRNY has a pop punk nuance. However, in some other parts, there are unique musical elements that are in harmony with the music played by Kuburan, making this song more flavorful.

Both Rocket Rockers and Kuburan, this is not the first time they have collaborated with other musicians and bands. It is also possible that in the future, one of them will create a collaborative album.

"For me, of course, I am happy to collaborate with RR, a band that can be said to have grown together in Bandung. I am already happy with the collaboration, let alone if there are plans to make an album. Hopefully, it can be realized," said Denny, the bassist of Kuburan.

3. Appearing During Live Performance

What is worth waiting for is their appearance when performing live. How to combine Rocket Rockers personnel, Aska (vocalist, guitar), Bisma (bass), and Ozom (drums) with eight Kuburan personnel, Denny (Bassistman), Aum (guitarist), Raka (guitarist), Udhe (keyboardist), Surya (drummer), Resa (singer), Dino (CEO), and Fandy (pinkycong)?

It seems that both bands have prepared for this. An interesting concept is ready to be presented when they perform live singing the song KRNY.

"There are several options, but one of the options being developed is the Battle concept. It can further develop over time, can't wait," said Denny.
