Superglad's Noble Intentions During the Pandemic, Releasing the Song 'Satu' for Rumah Harapan

This Jakarta-based band has just re-released one of their songs titled Satu. A song that successfully lifted Superglad's name in the Indonesian music industry in the early 2000s. Later, the proceeds from this latest version of the song Satu will be donated through the Hope House owned by singer and activist Melanie Soeboeno.

"The idea came from Yuri (Superglad's Manager). Yuri came up with the idea, why don't we re-release the song that was popular in 2006," said Luks, the vocalist of Superglad in a virtual press conference, Saturday (5/12/2020).

1. Presented Attractively

Unlike before, the latest version of the song Satu is presented so attractively by collaborating with top musicians in the country. Starting from Pamungkas, Marcello Tahitoe, Tuan Tigabelas, Marcell Siahaan, Oom Leo, Prince Husein, Danilla, Endah Widiastuti, Melanie Soeboeno, to Rey Marshall, the guitarist of Kelompok Penerbang Roket.

"Finally, we tried it, and the idea was great. We thought, let's find any vocalists. Finally, the 10 musicians we chose easily said yes. So, everyone we contacted agreed immediately. Finally, after we got all the musicians to agree, our intention to release together with them is for charity," said Luks.

2. Ultimate Arrangement

The song Satu was directly arranged by the talented young singer, Pamungkas. Besides collaborating to sing the song, Pamungkas was also trusted to arrange it.

"From there, Pamungkas is finally one of the musicians who really arranges vocal engineering. Pamungkas came to the studio to do vocal engineering, like how Melanie Soebono's vocals should be, how my vocals should be. So there are definitely more colors than before," said Luks.

3. Sales Results

Superglad's noble intention to donate the sales proceeds of the song Satu was well received by Melanie Soebono. The singer, who is also an activist, is happy that Superglad's friends can provide assistance in their own way through Rumah Harapan.

"I'm really happy when Superglad contacted me and they said that they don't want to have fun with the proceeds of this song. But they want to produce something to help others. During the pandemic, many people are struggling, and they said they want to use this song to help others," said Melanie.
