Syakir Daulay Releases Religious Album, Prepares Unique Single 'Sholawat Corona'

Kapanlagi.com - Coinciding with this year's Ramadan, young star Syakir Daulay released an album titled Alunan Surga (Melodies of Heaven). The album features ten songs, all of which are planned to be released over the next month.

The single titled Sholawat Corona is the first to be introduced to the public because of its unique title. Not only because of its unique title, but also because it relates to the current situation.

"Sholawat Corona is about how we stay motivated, keep praying, and remain faithful to Allah in situations like this," said Syakir during a virtual conference on Monday (12/4/2021).

1. Try Being a Vocal Director

In the recording process, Syakir Daulay revealed that he also acts as a vocal director. This self-confidence grew after going through previous recording processes.

"I was assisted by friends from Falcon Music in the recording. As a vocal director, I started directing myself. Because I couldn't sing before, now I can slowly do it, so I create my own direction," said the actor of the movie MARIPOSA.

2. Mixing Arabic and Indonesian Languages

The ten songs in the Alunan Surga album not only talk about Allah and the Prophet, but also address simple problems around us. Even the lyrics are a mix of Arabic and Indonesian languages.

"Hopefully, Syakir's songs can help people get to know the Prophet and God in a cool way. The lyrics are light, easy to understand, and easily likable. Usually, Ramadan songs are in Arabic, but here we have a mix of Arabic and Indonesian. Usually, many people sing without knowing the meaning," said Syakir.

3. Ramadan in the Midst of a Pandemic

This year, the Holy Month of Ramadan still has to be experienced in a pandemic situation. Nevertheless, the spirit of welcoming the fasting month remains unchanged.
