Thanks to El Ibnu, Elkasih Band Makes a Comeback After 10 Years with the Single 'Maaf'

Kapanlagi.com - Elkasih music group finally rises again after a 10-year hiatus from the music industry. The band, led by El Ibnu (vocal), El Arief (drums), El Fajar (bass), El Ari (keyboard), and El Pico (guitar), has released a new work titled Maaf.

As known, the band's vocalist, El Ibnu, is currently undergoing treatment due to stroke and achalasia. Therefore, the Elkasih members agreed to collaborate with a beautiful singer named Vebrie Verona, under the label Warna Production.

"Elkasih's return to music is to give support to El Ibnu who is currently fighting against his illness," said El Ari at Kopi Genta, Musium Satriamandala, Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta, on Sunday (8/11).

One of the things that woke Elkasih up from a long sleep was the commotion caused by the news about one of its members, El Ibnu. After finding out that El Ibnu suffered from a stroke and achalasia, the members of Elkasih immediately visited El Ibnu, who was still in the Pniel nursing home in South Tangerang.

It was only when El Ibnu's former lover, Sarah Dee, decided to take care of him that the members of Elkasih decided to continue their work in the music industry of the homeland.

"After being picked up, El Ibnu wrote a song containing Sarah Dee's feelings, who had left him for 10 years and then rekindled their romance," he said.

"So this song, Maaf, represents Sarah Dee's feelings towards El Ibnu, whom she had left all this time and reunited with," concluded El Ari.
