The Covid-19 Pandemic Continues, Elkasih Keeps Creating by Releasing the Single 'Kemarau Cinta'

Kapanlagi.com - The music group Elkasih, now known as Elkasih Reborn, apparently can still soar high even though its leader, El Ibnu, is absent. Moreover, Elkasih Reborn has officially released their latest single entitled Kemarau Cinta (Love Drought) after previously gaining popularity with Muntaber (Backward Without News).

Of course, the making of this single has gone through a long and tiring process. The recording of the song and the making of the music video coincided with the implementation of the Level 4 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in Jakarta-Bali.

Representing the group, Ari expressed gratitude for the release of the single Kemarau Cinta. They also hope that this latest work will be better than their previous works.

"Yes, alhamdulillah (thank God), today we successfully launched the latest single from Elkasih Reborn entitled Kemarau Cinta. It is already available on YouTube. Our hope is that the music video for this single will be better than the previous single," said El Ari during the launch of the single Kemarau Cinta at the Satria Mandala Museum, Gatot Subroto Street, South Jakarta, not long ago.

"So in this single, we had to struggle quite a lot because it was during the strictest period of Level 4 PPKM. Many things were delayed, but in the end, we managed to overcome them for the making of the music video and recording of this single," he continued.

The song Kemarau Cinta itself tells the continuation of El Septa's story in the single Muntaber. El Septa, who is being haunted by someone, tries to escape to a safer place to avoid the woman.

1. Not as Smooth as Expected

"Continuing from Muntaber yesterday, as I mentioned earlier, El Septa was ghosting, and in Kemarau Cinta, he was looking for someone who was ghosting. Turns out, the girl doesn't actually exist. But she haunts Septa wherever he goes. She haunts him in the city, she haunts him in the forest. And we are together looking for a safe place instead of running to an unsafe city or forest. Symbolically, something like that," he said.

In addition, for the making process of the music video Kemarau Cinta, Ari mentioned that it was not as smooth as he imagined with his partner. He said many directors were unable to work on a music video due to the strict PPKM policies.

"We planned to shoot it in Bandung. There were four locations, in Braga, Asia Afrika, in the pine forest of Cikole, in the training studio, and Cikarang. We had five locations for shooting," he explained.

However, Elkasih's members still managed to successfully shoot the music video in various locations.

"But the problem was, we tried to invite other directors, but they couldn't do it because of the PPKM situation. Finally, we dared to do it ourselves, maybe it would be more flexible and we could sneak in. Alhamdulillah, it finally happened," he concluded.
