The Excitement of Jazz Gunung Ijen 2019, the Beauty of Jazz Meets Tari Gandrung

Jazz Gunung opens with a performance by Lalare Orkestra, which is a music group that combines traditional and string instruments. One interesting thing is that the members are young generation from Banyuwangi who are still teenagers!

The next performer is the 'Bintang Mencari Bintang' project led by renowned bass player, Bintang Indiranto. He is searching for talent from Banyuwangi to collaborate with at Jazz Gunung Ijen 2019.

Not only performing with local musicians from Banyuwangi, Bintang Indrianto is also accompanied by traditional dancers. These dancers are selected students from a local school.

Jazz Gunung Ijen also featured Gandrung dancers. The presence of these dancers excites the audience, especially amidst the viral story of 'Desa Penari' (Dancer Village).

The jazz group MLDJAZZ Project 4 is one of the performers at Jazz Gunung Ijen. These talented young musicians are graduates of the fourth season of a jazz music talent search.

After a 10-year hiatus, Parkdrive returned to Jazz Gunung Ijen. Vocal duo Mikuni Gani and Olive Latuputty gave their best performance on stage. The audience also sang along to Parkdrive's popular songs.

Yura Yunita also heated up the atmosphere at the music festival at the foot of Mount Ijen. She performed a series of her hit songs, from 'Merakit' to 'Buka Hati' and 'Harus Bahagia.'

Tompi returned to Jazz Gunung Ijen after previously performing at Jazz Gunung Bromo. However, this time he was accompanied by only two musicians on stage. Tompi's beautiful voice was accompanied by the sounds of the keyboard and contra bass.
