Through the Single 'Sijjin', Duo Chika and Agus Depict Signs of the Coming of Judgment Day

However, there is something that remains unchanged amidst this pandemic, which comes from musicians who continue to produce religious works to entertain the public. Just like what Duo Chika and Agus did recently by releasing a religious single titled Sijjin.

"Starting from 2018, I wrote the lyrics for this song and gave it the title, When the Devil Claims to be God. Because there are lyrics about it in the chorus," said Agus Sukirno, one of the members of Chika and Agus, in his written statement.

For the title itself, it was indeed changed after a discussion. This is because in the lyrics itself there is a recitation of the Quran, namely Surah Al Mutaffifin.

"The song Sijjin tells the combination of the story of the signs of the coming of the Day of Judgment combined with the story of those who are disobedient, polytheistic, and unjust recorded in the book of Sijjin," he continued.

2. Pop Rock Genre

In its packaging, Duo Chika and Agus present it differently from usual, namely with a pop rock nuance added with a Middle Eastern music nuance in the middle of the song.

"Our hope is that the song Sijjin can provide the best motivation for the community and be accepted by all segments of the wider community and can enliven the Indonesian music scene to the world," Agus concluded.
