Tommy Kurniawan Tells a Heartbreak Story Through the Single 'Apa Kabarmu'

Kapanlagi.com - Handsome actor, Tommy Kurniawan, has recently been busy with his new profession as a member of the Indonesian Parliament. However, it seems that his artistic soul cannot be separated from within him. Not long ago, the star of the film EIFFEL IM IN LOVE 2 introduced a single titled Apa Kabarmu.

This song was written by Tommy himself with the help of Muhammad Irfan. Its genre is easy listening pop that is easily accepted by the ears. Apparently, this is the first time the husband of Lisya Nurrahmi has tried his hand at singing.

"I tried to write the lyrics with the help of my friend Muhammad Irfan. The music arrangement was done by Sandy Canester. I have tried the world of singing several times, but only now I dare to release this single (Apa Kabarmu). I hope music enthusiasts in the homeland can enjoy my new single," said Tommy when met on Friday (11/2/2022).

1. The Story Behind the Song 'Apa Kabarmu'

Although it was his first time venturing into the world of singing, little did anyone know that this man, born on September 15, 1984, actually has a powerful vocal.

The song Apa Kabarmu tells the story of someone who is still unable to move on from their ex-lover who is already in a relationship with someone else. They still constantly think about them because they still love them and are always curious about their ex's well-being.
 
"This song tells the story of someone who still remembers their old lover, who happens to be far away and already with someone else (their new partner). But they haven't moved on from their old lover," said Tomkur, as he is commonly known.

2. Inviting His Wife to Be a Model in the Music Video

The music video for Apa Kabarmu has also been completed by Tommy and his team. The chosen locations for the shoot were Danau Telaga Saat Puncak in West Java and several locations in Bogor Regency, West Java. He didn't forget to invite his beloved wife to be the model in the music video.

"There are two versions of the music video. The first one was shot in a region in Bogor Regency. And the other one is the Indonesian lyric video that we have prepared and will be aired on my YouTube channel, Tommy Kurniawan," Tommy explained.

Tommy plans to perform this song when he meets the public while conveying his work programs to the community. This song will also be played on radio stations in the country as part of its promotion.

"Of course, my hope is that this song will be well received by the public. Despite the pandemic, we remain creative in creating a work. Stay enthusiastic for the public," Tomkur concluded.
