Kapanlagi.com - Coinciding with the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, JK Records presents a new song. Titled 'Under the Same Sky', this song is filled with messages of diversity to foster a sense of nationalism.
Interestingly, in this song JK Records did not choose a well-known singer, but a new singer named Sausan. For the producer, Leonard Kristianto, a nationalist song does not have to be sung by a famous singer. What matters most to him is a unique voice.
"This song has a profound message, initially titled 'My Indonesia' and we changed it to 'Under the Same Sky'. This song tells the story that we are different but we don't need to fight, because we live under the same sky," said the man familiarly known as Nyo, in his office not long ago.

The song itself was created by Fajar Catur, who is a Lieutenant Colonel in the TNI. He created the song last year while serving in South Sulawesi. That's why he chose a young singer from Makassar.
"So at that time, I was serving as the Dandim in Soppeng, South Sulawesi to provide insights to students. When I entered, I saw that the response was lacking and uninteresting. But after listening to national songs, the response was good," said Fajar.

Before Sausan was chosen, auditions were held for young and talented singers in South Sulawesi. "So I gathered people with singing talent and after selection, we found Sausan from Makassar who happens to be the rector's child," Fajar continued.
"Sausan has a good voice and talent, so why not? It's different if we want to make music for TikTok, then a famous singer is needed," concluded Nyo.
