Emerging as the Champion of 'Di Rumah Aja Challenge 2', Thalia and Bonn Sing 'Jadian'

Kapanlagi.com - The two winners of the 'Di Rumah Aja Challange 2' competition, organized by Eventori on April 15, 2020, Bonn and Thalia, have finally released their debut single titled Jadian (Dating). Clearly, this marks their professional debut in the Indonesian music industry. The song Jadian itself is released by Eventori in collaboration with YWMF.

The single Jadian was directly written by renowned musician Denny Chasmala, who often creates songs for famous singers such as Reza Artamevia, Krisdayanti, Titi DJ, Shanty, and many others.

Denny was personally appointed by Bedi Gunawan, the Head of Talent Management at Eventori, to write the song Jadian performed by Bonn and Thalia. Moreover, Bedi knows well how Denny Chasmala writes songs that are suitable for this duet by Bonn and Thalia.

"As newcomers in the music industry, our label wants to bring something different, and the duet slot was still vacant. There were several songs from Denny, and our closeness was already there. He said, 'Trust me, it will be great if you do a duet', and in the end, we took it and it turned out great. Denny Chasmala is extraordinary as a composer and arranger," said Bedi Gunawan at the Eventori.id office in Manggarai, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (8/11/2020).

1. Didn't Expect to Become Champions in the 'Stay at Home Challenge 2'

Boon and Thalia are the winners of the 'Stay at Home Challenge 2' competition. In addition to receiving cash prizes, they also created a new duet. Both Boon and Thalia admitted that they didn't expect to become winners in the Stay at Home Challenge 2.

"I didn't expect to be chosen as one of the winners, especially during the corona situation, and seeing it on Instagram, many people participated and hundreds were chosen. It's like KapanLagi cover from home and it became something this big," said Boon.

"Thalia is the same as Bonn, I found out through Instagram and finally made a cover. The original song had to be learned again. In the process of making the single, we also sent song samples to Eventori and they chose which song was suitable," continued Thalia.

2. How Thalia and Bonn Build Chemistry

Previously, both of them didn't know each other. However, Bonn and Thalia both studied at the University of Indonesia, although in different majors. So, how did they build chemistry in the song 'Jadian'?

"For the song 'Jadian', the preparation also had a bit of a chemistry issue. We both really intended to be able to do it like sharing while chatting. Because we are the same age and go to the same campus. In the future, we won't eliminate this chemistry because we will create more works," said Bonn.

For Thalia, building chemistry with Bonn was not easy. However, it took a longer time for them to get to know each other.

"This song tells the story of the two of us, building chemistry is not that easy, but over time, now there is no more awkwardness," concluded Thalia.
