Arfa Marqia Releases a New Song About Mother, 'Lagu Buat Ibunda'

Kapanlagi.com - The debut single of young singer Arfa Marqia, Malaikat Pelindungku, can be considered quite successful for a new singer. The song has received more than 50 thousand views on YouTube and has been appreciated by former Vice President of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla. Now, Arfa is releasing his latest song, Lagu Buat Ibunda.

Still telling a story about a mother, the song is the work of a musician from Palembang, Lendra. Interestingly, Arfa met Lendra accidentally in the studio owned by Edy Darmawan (drummer of Stinky), while recording vocals. When Lendra heard Arfa's voice, he immediately liked it.

"I made this song in 2008 when I was in Palembang. Initially, I made it for myself and didn't publish it until I moved to Jakarta. It's been about 12 years until now. During this time, I've been looking for someone suitable for this song, but couldn't find anyone. Until I met Arfa again, covering the song Sholawat Asyghil in Edy Stinky's studio," Lendra said.

Lendra sees that Arfa has great potential in the music industry. The same sentiment is expressed by Edy, who sees that Arfa has an unusual uniqueness. He is optimistic that Arfa's name will rise.

"His potential is extraordinary at such a young age, being able to sing with difficult intervals and tones, his vocal range is also pleasant," continued Lendra.

"As a producer for Arfa in this song, I met Arfa when he was working on a cover, I was interested because Arfa's vocal character was evident even though he is still a child. Among his peers as a singer, only Bertrand Peto is seen as competition, there is no one else who has risen," said Edy.

Meanwhile, Arfa admits that there were no obstacles when recording vocals for his latest song. He is happy to be able to present this song as a token of gratitude to his mother.

"I didn't have any difficulties with this second single, it went smoothly. Alhamdulillah. I just feel sad when singing this song because it tells the story of my mother, how we express gratitude to our mothers," he concluded.
