The song was written by Yotari herself in 2018. Moreover, this song was also shared through her Instagram account and received positive responses from netizens.

"I first wrote this song in 2018 and received many positive responses when I uploaded it on Instagram," said Yotari as quoted in the press release received by Kapanlagi.com, Wednesday (6/5/2020).

Due to its positive reception from netizens, Yotari decided to produce the song 'Menanti Hatiku' as her first ballad single. The recording was done on November 22nd with the assistance of Irvnat and Aldi Nada Permana as the vocal director and music director.

"The song 'Hatiku Menanti' has a deep meaning, which is about my sincerity and maturity in letting go of someone I love. I realize that in life, there is receiving and letting go," she said.

"And both are good for humans. Both are processes that make us mature, depending on how we perceive them. This song is dedicated by Yotari to her first nephew who passed away in 2019," Yotari added.

The singer who was nominated for the 2019 AMI Awards in the Best Newcomer category hopes that her new single will be easily accepted by music enthusiasts in the country.

"Yotari hopes that this song can be a pain relief for those who are grieving, hurt, and left behind. Not to make the sad sadder, but to encourage them to rise from despair, because the loss they experience is also felt by others. They are not alone," she concluded.
