When met in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, on Thursday (14/9), Aya Canina explained the main issue between herself and AMIGDALA. She stated that she has the rights to the name AMIGDALA.

"I am the one who came up with the name AMIGDALA. The song AMIGDALA is a psychological term, including the release of the first mini album 'katarsis' that I created in the past. Eventually, AMIGDALA became a full band, and we invited two of our friends," said Aya Canina.

After Aya decided to leave, Isa Maulana Elfasya also followed suit on his own decision. Because of this, of course, the copyright and trademark of AMIGDALA are not responsible.

After that, Aya became the rightful owner of the AMIGDALA brand itself. However, after being patented, the personnel still use Aya Canina's name and works without permission.

"Well, in terms of creation, my departure and Isa's become the absence of the copyright and trademark holders of the songs and the name AMIGDALA. I don't know how the people in the band are still performing the songs and using the name AMIGDALA. Finally, I obtained the trademark and copyright of the songs from the album Balada Puan," he said.

"The problem here is, first, regarding the trademark. They are still using the name AMIGDALA even after I left the band, and they are still using the name AMIGDALA up until now. There is also the use of songs without permission," he continued.

2. Already Sent a Summons

Therefore, on the same occasion, Aya Canina's legal representative, Nanang Hartanto, has sent a summons to obtain moral rights and economic rights over the brand and works owned by his client, which are still being used until now. However, the summons has not received a response until now.

"We have already sent a summons or a warning regarding the use. Actually, we are looking for a win-win solution but they have not responded, neither them nor their legal representative," Nanang Hartanto concluded.
