Virgoun and Budi Doremi Express Love Language Through Collaboration Album - 10 Songs that Will Touch Your Heart

After collaborating on a short film project titled AKU DAN MESIN WAKTU in 2021, Virgoun and Budi Doremi collaborated again on an album titled DUA WARNA CINTA. Virgoun expressed his happiness because this collaboration project could continue.

“I see this as a continuation of our previous collaboration, we worked together to create songs. From that process, one day it could be taken to the next level, not just a digital and YouTube project but also physically it could develop,” said Virgoun during a virtual press conference on Thursday (17/2).

Not only Virgoun, Budi Doremi is also very happy with this collaboration, Budi Doremi mentioned that this is not just a collaboration project but also like an award for him as a musician.

“I am very grateful to be able to collaborate with a senior. Because as a musician, you have to upgrade yourself. When offered, it's not just a collaboration but it's like an award for me,” said Budi Doremi.

“Because in this digital era, it's not about ego anymore, it's the era of collaboration and this is my opportunity to collaborate with Budi,” continued Virgoun.

2. Different Languages of Love

Through this album, Virgoun and Budi Doremi have their own respective styles to convey their language of love. Although both talk about love, they have different songwriting styles. Virgoun with detailed and storytelling lyrics while Budi Doremi is more casual but still touching.

“Although both of us talk about love, the way we convey the colors of love in music is very different. I like to be detailed with storytelling while Budi is more casual, straightforward, catchy but still touching,” explained Virgoun.

“My songs are more universal, compared to Virgoun's which are far more poetic. I am more straightforward,” added Budi Doremi.

3. Concept of the Album Dua Warna Cinta

Meanwhile, the concept of the album DUA WARNA CINTA carries the colors black and white. Virgoun represents the color black and Budi Doremi represents the color white. They refer to themselves as kings on a chessboard, have you listened to their latest album yet?

“The philosophy is a mix of various colors. Budi is pure, honest, and clean, in accordance with his style of songwriting. Finally, it can be applied, in this album the concept is a chessboard, we both become the kings,” said Virgoun.

“In this album, we try to depict that each of us is a pawn king in the battle of our hearts, a leader for our own feelings. Although I may appear whiter and Virgoun blacker, but how do we convey love in a simple way,” added Budi.

4. Consists of 10 Songs

In the album DUA WARNA CINTA, there are a total of 10 songs composed by Virgoun and Budi Doremi, including Orang yang Sama, Mesin Waktu, Move On, Bintang Jatuh, and others. Which one is your favorite song?

The creation of the album DUA WARNA CINTA is not without cooperation and support behind the scenes. This album is a collaboration between KFC Jagonya Musik & Sport Indonesia (JMSI) and dr.m, with a recording label that oversees Virgoun and Budi Doremi.

5. Being in the Same Film Project

In 2021, Virgoun and Budi Doremi were involved in a short film project. Yup, ME AND THE TIME MACHINE; a short film project inspired not only by 1 song from 1 musician, but this time not half-hearted, inspired by 4 songs from 4 musicians namely Budi Doremi, Last Child, Caitlin Halderman, and of course Virgoun himself.

This short film project becomes much more interesting because it has complex challenges; where the storylines from the short movie and the songs from these four musicians must complement each other, becoming something inseparable.
