Want to Express Feelings to a Friend, Daun Jatuh Presents the Poetic Song 'Bungkam'

Kapanlagi.com - The music group Daun Jatuh has released a new song titled Bungkam. This poetic song is inspired by the personal story of one of the group's six members. Bungkam is the fourth single released by Daun Jatuh under the Warner Music Indonesia record label.

Previously, they have successfully released several singles, such as Malang, Tak Selaras, and Momen, which have received positive responses from their fans. Mufti, the guitarist of Daun Jatuh, explained the meaning behind the song Bungkam. According to him, the song tells the story of someone who holds back from expressing their feelings to their friend.

"Actually, this is inspired by one of our members. He had feelings for his friend but held back from expressing them. He was afraid that everything would fall apart after he expressed his feelings," said Mufti, not long ago.

The song Bungkam was produced by Ibnu Dian from Matter Halo. With a duration of 5 minutes, the song opens with acoustic guitar picking. The combination of Verrel's vocals with poetic lyrics and minimalistic instruments typical of Daun Jatuh makes the song sound so sad.

In the same opportunity, Verrel the vocalist explained that there is an interesting story behind the making of the latest song Bungkam. To better experience the process, Varrel asked all members of Daun Jatuh to imagine being in the same situation.

2. Listened on Music Platforms

Besides being able to be listened to on digital music platforms, at the same time, Daun Jatuh has also released the music lyric video for the song Bungkam on their YouTube channel.

"When writing, we imagined what it would feel like to fall in love with our own friends, what it would feel like to be in that situation. So many perspectives emerged that night about holding back feelings for our own friends," said Varrel.

3. Hope to be Accepted

Through the song Bungkam, the group with a fanbase called Hamparan Hijau hopes that their song can be accepted by the wider community.

"Our hope is that this song can represent the feelings of those out there who feel the pain of holding back from expressing what they feel," concluded Verrel.
