This singer born in Dobo, Southeast Maluku, on March 16, 1998, managed to attract the attention of many people, including Judika, when he sang Judika's song "Bagaimana Kalau Aku Tidak Baik-Baik Saja" during the audition for the talent search event X Factor Indonesia 2022 which has just ended.

Yan Josua's singing ability has been evident since he was 8 years old. His love for the world of singing has brought him to win several talent search events from regional to national levels, including Bintang RRI (2017) in Merauke, Result Show and Reunion Night Stuvo (2019) in Makassar, and Star Voices Season 7 in 2021.

Yan Josua's name also became a topic of discussion among netizens some time ago. The young man from Merauke managed to attract attention at the closing ceremony of the 2021 Papua National Sports Week. Currently, Yan Josua has completed his latest single titled Pesan Rindu. The song, which he wrote himself while in high school, tells the story of two people who fall in love and ask about each other's well-being. In order to achieve their dreams, they have to part ways and maintain a long-distance relationship (LDR).

When night falls, their deep longing cannot be expressed through words. However, they believe that even though they are separated by space and time, they are actually gazing at the same moon and hoping that the wind will also convey their message of longing.

"This song is actually a conversation between me and someone on the phone. I like to ask 'do you miss me?' And at that time, my older siblings were also in a long-distance relationship with soldiers, and they would talk on the phone every day, so it was also an inspiration for this song. So this song was written like a conversation, 'I miss you, do you miss me too?' I was talking to him like that, I miss him. Do you miss me too? Until one day I wrote it like a poem and it became the lyrics of the song," said Yan.

In his debut single, Dua Anak Deo (DAD), the label and management he is currently under, invited big names to complete the song and music video for Yan Josua's Pesan Rindu. Such as Judika, Ray Antono, Rayen Pono, Alden Luhukay, and Luthfi Aulia (Director).

Becoming a singer was Yan Josua's choice since he was a child, his singing talent has been in his blood since he was in the womb. "When I was still 5 months in the womb, my mom participated in a singing competition, won 2nd place in Makassar, 3rd place in Senayan Jakarta, she also participated in a competition at the Ibu Persit level. My mom and dad also participated in a competition in the TNI environment and won 1st place. My older sister, who is now a midwife, is also a singer," he said.

Yan Josua's desire to become a singer clashed with his father's desire to make Yan a soldier. "I once rebelled against my father's wishes because I didn't want to be a soldier. When I graduated from high school, my dad intended to enroll me in the military. I chose to run away, my dad called a captain to educate and train me. My hair was cut, everything was prepared, but I ran away. To become a singer is more about rebelling and following my own choice," said the STIE Indonesia Makassar student, majoring in Management, who will graduate this year.

The journey to achieve his dream of becoming a singer was quite unique, a man with hobbies of cooking, futsal, and cycling, he used to be a badminton athlete and participated in many national competitions in Papua. Yan Josua admitted that he had been practicing badminton since 3rd grade of elementary school until high school. But his love for the world of singing remained his main choice.

"Hopefully, this single can boom, can be a blessing for the people around, can relate to those who feel longing, and can make my mom who has been supporting Yan to become a singer happy," he said.

Since joining DAD, Yan Josua feels more organized and well-managed, and can see music as a "passion" and life. Yan Josua learned valuable lessons from Judika, whom he idolized since elementary school, and Judika's songs became his mainstay in every competition he participated in.

"By joining with Judika, and learning a lot from him, I definitely have more capital and strength to be shown in achieving my goal as a musician. I also challenge myself to compete in the music industry, remain consistent, and most importantly continue to create good works," said Yan Josua.

Dua Anak Deo (DAD) Management is a company engaged in Entertainment, especially artist management and music labels. Judika stated that his decision to establish DAD Management with his wife was based on his desire to continue working and providing space for talented musicians to produce quality works that are popular with many people. If previously only as a musician, now Judika wants to try his hand at producing. DAD label is a platform for Judika to facilitate singers and young people whom he believes have potential.

The name Dua Anak Deo Management comes from the names of Judika's two children, Duma and Cleo Deomora Sihotang and Judeo Volante Sihotang. Both names have the element of "deo" which is used as the label title.
