The building, called Vila Pondok Indah Bedugul, went viral on Twitter after the @mwv_mystic account shared a thread about their exploration of every part of this villa. Vila Pondok Indah Bedugul is known as the 'haunted palace'. Tourists who visit the Bedugul area can clearly see this villa as it is located on the main road.
Although it is no longer operational, visitors can still enter the villa and explore this magnificent building by paying Rp 10,000 to the guard.
Built in the early 90s, this villa operated from 1996 to 1998. However, the villa eventually closed down due to the impact of the monetary crisis.
As soon as you enter the villa area, you will be greeted by a row of statues. From here, you can already feel the distinctive Bali atmosphere that cannot be found elsewhere.
During their exploration, the account owner @mwv_mystic and their friend who 'can see' were greeted by a woman waving her hand from behind this reception desk.
Some of these grand villa buildings are still standing strong. Like a large-sized hall supported by a row of pillars.
Although no longer operational, the cleanliness of this villa is still maintained from the mischief of idle hands, like most abandoned buildings.
Inside the villa, there is a staircase adorned with dragon ornaments that is quite tall. From the top, you can see the beautiful view of the Bedugul area located in the highlands.
Due to its long period of inactivity, the interior of the villa is dominated by the lush greenery of overgrown bushes.
At certain times, Vila Pondok Indah Bedugul is covered in thick fog. It makes your hair stand on end.
According to the account owner @mwv_mystic, visitors must choose the right time to explore this building. Besides the fog, this very spacious building can be confusing.
Although filled with a horror impression, Vila Pondok Indah Bedugul still radiates the charm of its heyday.
