Achieving 4 Awards from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, Proof of Tangerang City's Success in Building a Healthy City

Kapanlagi.com - Good news comes from the Tangerang City Government. Because, recently it has received four Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) Awards organized by the Directorate of Public Health, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, on Saturday, (14/11). This appreciation was achieved as a form of success of the Tangerang City Government in implementing Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) in its area.

Interestingly, the award should indeed be won by Tangerang City, because it has successfully changed the behavior of the community to be accustomed to implementing clean and healthy lifestyles, as well as maintaining the environment through programs initiated by the Benteng City.

After attending the virtual award ceremony, Tangerang Mayor Arief Wismansyah expressed his gratitude for the achievements made by the Tangerang City Government regarding Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) in Tangerang City, which received appreciation from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.

Tangerang Mayor Arief Wismansyah said that the Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) Award is a form of appreciation from the Ministry of Health to districts/cities as well as institutions and community figures who have changed the behavior of the community to be hygienic and sanitary.

"Thank God, today the Tangerang City Government has received four awards at once for Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) in Tangerang City," he said.

The Mayor also hopes that the Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) Award can be a motivation for the Tangerang City Government and community to continue to improve Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) in order to create a healthy city.

"Hopefully the government and all residents of Tangerang City can continue to cultivate clean and healthy living behavior, especially during this Covid-19 pandemic," he said.

The awards received are the Sustainable Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) Award in the Stop Babs/ODF City Category, which is among the top 3 out of 29 selected districts/cities. In addition, there is an award for the best health workers in the puskesmas environment at the district/city level in the sanitarian category by the Cipadu Puskesmas, an award for the best village head in the district/city by the Pinang Village Head, and the Natural Leader FKTS category award achieved by Hj Siti Rochayah.
