Attended by the Mayor of Bontang, the Opening Night of Bara Saka 2023 was Festive

Kapanlagi.com - The opening moment of Bara Saka and Perkemahan Bakti Saka Kencana 2023 was festive on Thursday (16/11/2023) last week. The event was held at the PKK Bontang Lestari Campground and was directly opened by the Mayor of Bontang as the Scout Movement's Advisory Council, Basri Rase. He welcomed the participants of Bara Saka who will participate in the event until November 19, 2023.

"I hope that this event will not only be held this year. Hopefully, there will be more scout events in Bontang," he said.

Remind to Always Follow the Rules

In his speech, Basri Rase also always reminded the participants of the camp to always follow the applicable rules. This is important to prevent unwanted incidents. In addition, participants were also reminded to always report when entering or leaving the camp area.

It is known that this activity in East Kalimantan is attended by 340 participants consisting of 6 contingents from Bontang city and 5 contingents from outside, such as Berau, Samarinda, Balikpapan, Kukar, and Kutim. The purpose of this Barasaka activity is as a forum for friendship among scout leaders and pandega in East Kalimantan.

There are 10 Units of Work (Saka) involved in this activity, including Saka Bahari, Husada, Kalpataru, Bhayangkara, Kencana, Pariwisata, Wanabakti, and others.

"This is an extraordinary activity, the first time Bontang has held a Kalimantan Timur-wide Scout event," he concluded.

The opening night of Bara Saka 2023 also featured a duo singer from Lumajang, Jono Joni, and several local bands who enlivened the event.
