"From those who bought a little, slowly but surely it became more and more and started to have regular customers, until now," said Michelle Angeline.

At Aline's Bakes, there are actually many featured PO menus. You can order everything up to a maximum of 1 day before noon, including donuts, bomboloni, cream puffs, brownies, Korean garlic bread, fruit pudding, lemon pound cake, croffle, steamed cake, and classic cake. The best-selling items are usually cream puffs, village-style donuts, bomboloni, and brownies.

2. Inspiration

For inspiration for the business name, Michelle was initially confused. Since her name is Michelle Angeline, she used the Angeline part and shortened it to Aline. Thus, the name Aline's Bakes was created.

"Since my name was given by my parents, hopefully with the use of the name Aline's Bakes, their prayers will also be reflected in my business and it will run smoothly," said Michelle Angeline.

3. Challenges

Michelle felt the challenge quite a bit. She took a course and learned about products that could sell well in Surabaya. All products were marketed at a relatively high price. When she brought these menus to Semarang, there were very few buyers and the prices were not suitable for the lower price range in Semarang.

"So, I have to adapt to finding the cheapest suppliers so that the quality of the results remains good, and then research what the market likes," she concluded.

4. Strategy

Because there are already many large online cake shop brands with names in Semarang, Michelle looked for ways to make her culinary business stand out. Sales were very difficult at the beginning because there was no market. Initially, she sold lapis mandarin and premium lapis surabaya, which were relatively expensive.

Imagine, even though they were delicious, they were already expensive and there was no name recognition. No one knew what the brand was. Finally, Michelle asked her closest friends for help promoting the brand. At first, she only opened pre-orders, then started selling daily consumables such as pudding and cream puffs, and now there are a variety of menus at Aline's Bakes.

5. Hope

Michelle hopes that her business can continue to grow and expand, providing job opportunities for those in need. Her plan is to recruit employees because up until now, she has been working alone with the help of people at home.

"It's still a very home-based business, but we do accept orders. It can be one of the top-of-mind product choices," she concluded.
