Kapanlagi.com - Encouragement and improvement for expanding the market of superior products from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), especially the best products produced by rural areas, continue to be carried out. This is done to support the realization of economic independence and community welfare.

As part of the commitment to empowering MSMEs, BRI once again held the BRILian MSME Bazaar special edition of Rural Area Superior Products (Prukades) involving eight (8) BRILian Villages. The event was held at the BRI Headquarters Park, Jakarta (16/6).

Supari, the Director of Micro Business at BRI, said that this activity involving BRILian Villages is aimed at encouraging sales and expanding the market for superior village products both offline and online.

As is known, the BRILian Village program was introduced by BRI in 2020. Its goal is to achieve economic resilience through empowering the potential of villages in Indonesia with four main value criteria: active village-owned enterprises (Bumdes), digitalization, sustainability, and innovation.

"Because BRILian Villages are an empowerment program aimed at producing role models in village development through the implementation of excellent village leadership practices. Through a spirit of collaboration, this is done to optimize the potential of villages based on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)," said Supari.

List of Eight Involved Villages

The eight BRILian Villages involved come from several regions in Indonesia. The 8 BRILian Villages are Tunjungan Village (Blora Regency, Central Java), Paninggaran Village (Pekalongan, Central Java), Burong Mandi Village (East Belitung, Bangka Belitung Islands), and Bukit Gajah Village (Pelalawan Regency, Riau).

In addition, there are also Mekarmukti Village (Garut Regency, West Java), Pujon Kidul Village (Malang Regency, East Java), Girimulyo Village (East Lampung Regency, Lampung), and Bambang Village (Lamongan Regency, East Java).

In this special edition of the MSME Bazaar, each village brings the best potential products from their respective regions. These include fruits, tea, honey, ginger, chocolate, fried onions, and snacks. The UMKM BRILian Bazaar activity itself is a routine activity every month that has been started since 2022.

According to Supari, besides empowerment, events like this also become moments for financial literacy and inclusion. "For example, in this activity, BRI implements a cashless transaction payment mechanism during the buying and selling process. Various payment systems that can be used include QRIS and BRImo," continued Supari.

In addition, Supari also explained that literacy and inclusion have been done internally and become a massive agenda carried out to the BRILian Village through micro-segment relationship managers or commonly called Mantri spread across all regions of Indonesia.BRI is able to increase financial inclusion through financing programs in the BRILian Village, and BRI Mantri can curate their customers to upgrade their class.

"Then this BRILian Village program also becomes an appreciation space for Mantri and villages that have successfully upgraded their class, and become an inspiration for other villages. And for Mantri to continue to strive to become the best financial advisor for their fostered village," he added.

In this event, the bazaar participants expressed their joy with the conduct of this activity. They believe that BRI has fully accompanied the village in developing businesses according to the economic potential of the region. This was expressed by Andi Aminuddin, a Griya Olahan Durian UMKM actor from BRILian Tunjungan Village, Blora, Central Java.

According to Andi, this activity is a great opportunity for them to expand their marketing. "We hope that as UMKM through this activity, we have a wider network for marketing. Not only in our surrounding area, but spread throughout Indonesia." His hope is that way," he said.

In addition, Andi also hopes that in the future, the cooperation established with BRI will become stronger. Because from his village, there are many UMKM actors with various durian processed products that can be developed with very positive economic potential.

In addition to Andi, there is also Juhana, the Head of Mekarmukti Village, Cilawu District, Garut Regency, West Java. He feels grateful because his village has become a BRILian Village, and can showcase its superior products at the BRIlian UMKM Bazaar.

"Because by becoming a BRILian Village, the business cluster in our village is lifted. The proof is from increased sales. And with this event, I really hope that the lifted cluster will become more advanced. And this becomes a positive example for the community and other business clusters in our village to advance their businesses," he said.

In addition to Andi and Juhana, Nurdiansyah, as the Director of BUMDes Desa BRILian Burong Mandi, Damar, East Belitung, Bangka Belitung Islands, was also present at the event. He also felt similar benefits from the UMKM Bazaar.

According to him, the great benefit of this event is that the superior products from his region can be introduced to a wider market. "This becomes a promotional medium for us." We thank BRI. Although the event was short, its effect was great for us. Just now, because of this event, several new customers contacted us via WhatsApp," he said.

Nurdiansyah also hopes that this event will be sustainable. He also hopes that there will be many inputs for UMKM from his village to continue developing their businesses. With that, the superior products from his region will become more widely known.
