Interestingly, before being elected, Dicky Chandra had prayed not to serve as a regional head anymore because he wanted to be closer to his young children.

However, after receiving blessings from his family, he decided to serve again as the Deputy Mayor of Tasikmalaya.

Previously, Dicky Chandra served as the Deputy Regent of Garut from 2009 to 2011.
