"Purchasing at the official 3 kg LPG base is certainly more economical compared to buying from retailers, as the prices sold are in accordance with the Highest Retail Price (HET) set by the local government," he added.

According to him, regulations that limit retailers could destroy small businesses, inconvenience consumers, and contradict President Prabowo Subianto's commitment to support the underprivileged.

"This ban must be revoked," Fahmy asserted, noting that many retailers are small entrepreneurs who rely on selling LPG 3 Kg to meet their living needs.

He added that the requirement to become an official seller feels impossible for small shops, considering the costs needed to purchase LPG in large quantities are very high.

If this policy continues, there are concerns that many grassroots entrepreneurs will lose income, fall back into unemployment, and sink deeper into poverty.

The Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi recently revealed the reasons behind the policy banning retailers from selling 3 Kg LPG gas cylinders, which aims to reorganize the recipients of the LPG subsidy.
