Regarding this matter, BRI Micro Business Director Supari said that this activity involving BRILiaN Village is presented to boost sales and expand the market for superior village products both offline and online.

As is known, BRILiaN Village itself is an empowerment program that aims to produce role models in village development. The process is through the implementation of excellent village leadership practices, as well as a spirit of collaboration to optimize village potential based on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

"The BRILiaN MSME bazaar is a monthly routine activity that has started since 2021. Here, each village brings their superior products, ranging from coffee, fruits, cakes, and snacks," said Supari.

In this opportunity, eight BRILiaN Villages involved come from several regions in Indonesia. Starting from Sirnajaya Village, Bogor Regency (West Java), Rompegadding Village, Soppeng (South Sulawesi), Kurnia Selatan Village, Dharmasraya (West Sumatra), and Kaliwedi Village, Sragen (Central Java). In addition, Kenanga Village, Indramayu Regency (West Java), Bhuana Jaya Village, Kutai Kartanegara Regency (East Kalimantan), Selorejo Village, Malang Regency, and Pangkul Village, Prabumulih City (South Sumatra).

On that occasion, some bazaar participants expressed their joy and pride in the organization of the event. One of them is the Head of Rompegading Village, Liliriaja District, Soppeng Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Sakmawati Rahman.

"As the Village Government, we thank BRI. Through the BUMDes that has participated in the Desa BRILiaN program since 2019 and participated in this bazaar, it has helped the community improve the economy. This is very felt in fostering the economy in our village," said Sakmawati Rahman.

According to her, this bazaar adds motivation for residents involved in village economic development through BUMDes.She explained that BUMDes in her area has empowered mothers since late 2015.Now, the housewives of Rompegading Village are more empowered and economically independent.

The flagship products from the village are typical food products from the Soppeng region.BUMDes Rompegading's turnover once reached Rp1 billion per year before the pandemic hit.After the pandemic, the community there has recovered with a turnover of around Rp500 million per year.
