Kapanlagi.com - In order to expand sales and market reach, especially for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from rural areas with superior products, continuous efforts are needed. This step is to support the realization of economic independence and welfare of the community evenly.
This is also one of BRI's commitments in empowering the MSME segment, by holding the BRILiaN MSME Bazaar special edition of Rural Superior Products (Prukades). This time, BRILiaN Village Representatives from various regions participated in the bazaar at the BRI Headquarters Park, Jakarta (15/9).
Regarding this matter, BRI Micro Business Director Supari said that this activity involving BRILiaN Village is presented to boost sales and expand the market for superior village products both offline and online.
As is known, BRILiaN Village itself is an empowerment program that aims to produce role models in village development. The process is through the implementation of excellent village leadership practices, as well as a spirit of collaboration to optimize village potential based on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
"The BRILiaN MSME bazaar is a monthly routine activity that has started since 2021. Here, each village brings their superior products, ranging from coffee, fruits, cakes, and snacks," said Supari.
In this opportunity, eight BRILiaN Villages involved come from several regions in Indonesia. Starting from Sirnajaya Village, Bogor Regency (West Java), Rompegadding Village, Soppeng (South Sulawesi), Kurnia Selatan Village, Dharmasraya (West Sumatra), and Kaliwedi Village, Sragen (Central Java). In addition, Kenanga Village, Indramayu Regency (West Java), Bhuana Jaya Village, Kutai Kartanegara Regency (East Kalimantan), Selorejo Village, Malang Regency, and Pangkul Village, Prabumulih City (South Sumatra).
Supari further explained that through this event, the company also educates business actors to implement digital-based financial inclusion. Certainly by utilizing BRI's financial services application.
In this activity, BRI also implements a cashless transaction payment mechanism during the process of buying and selling products. Various payment systems that can be used include QRIS and BRImo.
"Regarding financial inclusion, the assisted business actors are already familiar with the company's efforts. Internally, through micro segment relationship managers or commonly called Mantri spread throughout Indonesia, BRI continues to improve financial inclusion through financing programs," he said.
In addition, BRI Mantri can curate its customers to upgrade and this activity also serves as an appreciation space for Mantri and villages that have successfully upgraded, and become an inspiration for other villages. Through this bazaar, Mantri can continue to strive to become the best financial advisor for their fostered villages.
Just like the previous event held in June 2023, after this bazaar, BRI's MSME stands were immediately crowded with visitors. Consumer enthusiasm is extraordinary in appreciating local products with the best quality.
On that occasion, some bazaar participants expressed their joy and pride in the organization of the event. One of them is the Head of Rompegading Village, Liliriaja District, Soppeng Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Sakmawati Rahman.
"As the Village Government, we thank BRI. Through the BUMDes that has participated in the Desa BRILiaN program since 2019 and participated in this bazaar, it has helped the community improve the economy. This is very felt in fostering the economy in our village," said Sakmawati Rahman.
According to her, this bazaar adds motivation for residents involved in village economic development through BUMDes.She explained that BUMDes in her area has empowered mothers since late 2015.Now, the housewives of Rompegading Village are more empowered and economically independent.
The flagship products from the village are typical food products from the Soppeng region.BUMDes Rompegading's turnover once reached Rp1 billion per year before the pandemic hit. After the pandemic, the community there has recovered with a turnover of around Rp500 million per year.
The same thing was revealed by the Director of BUMDes Sirnajaya Village, Sukamakmur District, Bogor Regency, West Java, Agus Salim. He hopes that the BUMDes empowerment program in the BRILiaN Village program will improve the abilities of UMKM actors, so that they have higher competitiveness, creativity, and innovation in marketing products to a wider market.
"In our village, the main potential is Rawa Gede tourism. But by participating in this program, we can highlight local products such as coffee and snacks. We see that the community is increasingly enthusiastic about developing businesses. This means there is an economic turnover. And now we are participating in a bazaar so that residents and business actors in our village are more enthusiastic about future development and empowerment," he said optimistically.
