EMTEK Peduli Corona Establishes Cooperation with the Ministry of Research and Technology to Combat COVID-19

Kapanlagi.com - EMTEK Peduli Corona has distributed assistance in the form of personal protective equipment (PPE) and food packages for communities affected by the coronavirus since March 2020. Through the Yayasan Pundi Amal Peduli Kasih (YPP) foundation, the assistance has been distributed across Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Nusa Tenggara, and Sulawesi.

Last Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at RS Moh Ridwan Meuraksa, East Jakarta, EMTEK Peduli Corona, represented by the Chairman of YPP, Mr. Imam Sudjarwo, who is also the CEO of Indosiar, signed an MOU to distribute donations through the Ministry of Research and Technology to produce 80 ventilators, 4,000 PCR Test Kits, and 4,000 Rapid Test Kits worth Rp 3.5 billion.

Mr. Imam Sudjarwo hopes that these medical devices, the result of the best innovation from the nation's sons and daughters together with the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology (BPPT), can help reduce the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia.

"Once the medical devices are completed, Emtek Peduli Corona through YPP will immediately distribute them to hospitals in need so that the process of tracing and tracking COVID-19 patients can be done more accurately," he explained.

Minister of Research and Technology/Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (Menristek/Head of BRIN) Mr. Bambang PS Brodjonegoro expressed his appreciation to EMTEK Group for consistently actively participating in distributing donations to the community, hospitals, and healthcare workers.

"On behalf of researchers, engineers, and lecturers, I would like to express my gratitude for the trust given by EMTEK Peduli Corona, YPP, Indosiar, SCTV, and Bukalapak for the use of the innovation results of Indonesian sons and daughters that will be greatly needed by hospitals in various regions in handling COVID-19," he said.

2. Donation Update

Until Tuesday (16/6) yesterday, the amount of donations collected from SCTV and INDOSIAR viewers, Bukalapak users, Liputan6.com readers, DANA users, and the One Indonesia Charity Concert Sponsor reached IDR 25,725,994,087.
