The pink food cart that has started to fade is easily recognizable. A bench or seat is provided for customers, along with a mat for the residents across the street. Buyers can enjoy the fried rice in the midst of the busy road users.

"Initially, it was because three years ago I fell, my hand became like this," Dartadi began his story while showing his left hand that is less perfect, Thursday (14/10).

1. Lack Does Not Become an Obstacle

Dartadi's left hand is in an imperfect physical condition and can no longer lift the frying pan. His strength is no longer as strong as before the accident.

"Because making fried rice requires two hands, if only one hand is not capable. So I looked for an initiative on how to do it," he said.

But it is this lack that later led him to create a fried rice making robot. The robot resembles an iron hand that will move elastically on the frying pan.

The robot is installed hanging above the frying pan and works as soon as a button is turned on by its owner. Dartadi only needs to add the spices according to the prepared portion onto the pan.

2. Cooking Using an 'Iron Hand'

Once finished, the robot can simply be lifted on one side and cleaned together with the frying pan from the remaining spices or stuck rice.

According to the size of the pan, the fried rice robot can prepare 6-7 servings at once. But if the size of the pan is enlarged, it can handle more than 10 servings in one process.

"It can handle more than 10 servings if the pan is larger. This capacity is only for 6-7 servings," he emphasized.

Dartadi admitted that he no longer faces problems with his physical condition in providing fried rice orders. Usually, he can only serve 10 or 15 servings on weekends, but now he can serve more orders.

"Alhamdulillah, customers say the spices are more evenly distributed, if using this pan, 6 servings can be evenly distributed," he said.

3. Directly Viral

The viral way of selling Dartadi fried rice using a robot on social media. Residents are curious and come after knowing through videos that are widely spread on Tiktok and Instagram.

"I found out from Instagram. It seems like it's the first time in Malang, selling fried rice using a robot, that's why I'm interested in coming here. I want to know, it's cool and creative, so I'll give it a try later to see how it tastes. Definitely tastier," said Mey Luciana, one of the customers waiting for their order.

Mey herself is a resident of the Dieng area in Malang City, which is about 7 km away from Dartadi's selling location. She is curious and orders spicy fried rice, regular fried rice, and fried noodles.

"It's a bit difficult to find, at first I thought it was a small road, but it turns out to be straight and I found it right away," she said.
