For 500 Thousand, This Teenager is Willing to Become a Courier for Stolen Motorcycles

Kapanlagi.com - Maskur (19) admitted to being assigned to deliver a stolen motorcycle to someone in Madura. The teenager from Pasuruan received a fee of Rp500,000 for each delivery.

"I got Rp500,000. I've only done it once," he said at the Malang Kota Police Station on Wednesday (7/9)

Maskur received the task from Sukaji (41), a fellow villager who was also arrested as a receiver of stolen goods. Sukaji himself is a repeat offender who has undergone legal processes five times in the same case.

The motorcycle was obtained from MU who is still a fugitive. Sukaji intended to sell the stolen goods to Madura for Rp5.5 million.

"I sold it for Rp5.5 million to Abah Madi in Madura," he said.

1. Equipped with GPS

The Chief of Malang City Police, Commissioner Pol Leonardus Simamarta, said that the evidence of the motorcycle was initially lost in Tlogo Mas, Lowokwaru, Malang City. The motorcycle is equipped with GPS, so its position can be monitored.

"According to the victim, the vehicle is equipped with GPS. When monitored, the vehicle's position was found in Pasrepan, Pasuruan," he explained.

However, the next day, the vehicle moved to a place in Purwodadi, Pasuruan, and then moved again to the house of one of the suspects. Starting from that suspect, the investigation expanded to other suspects.

"This suspect was going to be a courier to Madura. The arrest was made at 3:00 PM," he said.

2. Repeat Offender

Meanwhile, the motorcycle was obtained from Sukaji, who, according to police records, is a repeat offender. He has undergone legal proceedings five times in the same case.

Sukaji's first case was in the matter of receiving stolen goods, and he served a 6-month sentence at LP Bangil, Pasuruan (2015). The same case caught him again, and he served 6 months at LP Lowokwaru, Malang (2017).

Sukaji was also involved in a motorcycle theft case and had to serve 6 months at LP Nganjuk and 1 year at LP Ponorogo. Not learning his lesson, he is now facing charges for receiving stolen goods at the Malang City Police.
