From Yoriko Angeline to Fajar Bustomi Becoming Judges at IDeFest 2019

Kapanlagi.com - The Nichiren Shoshu Buddha Dharma Indonesia (MNSBDI) Assembly once again held the Indonesian Dream Festival (IDeFest) 2019. The festival, which took place at the end of 2019, still relied on two major categories, namely Art and Sport. Not to mention the competent judges in their respective fields.

The festival, which competes for the broomstick trophy, features Yoriko Angeline, Marrysa Tunjung Sari, Fajar Bustomi, Alim Sudio, Rusdy Rukmarata, Rama Soeprapto, Dimas Leimena, Nanang Hape, Anwari Natari, Windy Ariestanty, and many more as judges.

In the field of Art, there are dance, band, short film, culinary, show choir, and comedy theater. Meanwhile, in Sport, various competitions are held, ranging from running, futsal, swimming, chess, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, basketball, to e-sports.

1. Millennials Roar

There is something interesting about the theme chosen for 2019. According to Wirya Kartasasmitha, the chairman of the IDeFest 2019 committee, the theme Millennials' Roar was chosen because currently various aspects of life are dominated by millennials.

"Millennials today can be a good asset if they are well developed and taken care of. However, it can also become a big problem if not handled correctly," said Wirya in a press release received by KapanLagi.com.

Therefore, according to Wirya, the IDeFest competition is not just a creativity competition for young people, but also provides guidance for young people in the form of talk shows that raise awareness about the importance of process, skills, and moral content in every work.

The voice of millennials is strongly felt through the various colors presented by the participants in their works. For example, in the short film competition, themes such as millennial issues including suicide, bullying, drugs, sex, and others were explored.

2. From and For Young People

The amount of support for IDeFest 2019 shows that there is not only a lot of creativity among young people in Indonesia, but also concern for the future generation of the nation. This was expressed by Loe Mei Lien Indrasari, one of the sponsors.

"I support this event because young people from all regions in Indonesia have the opportunity to showcase their talents and the uniqueness of their respective regions. This also proves that Indonesian art and culture embrace diversity," she said.

Loe Mei Lien Indrasari also mentioned that IDeFest can have a positive impact on young people in Indonesia. "Artistic and creative activities like this can prevent millennial youth from engaging in negative things," she added.

3. Hundreds of Participants

IDeFest has been held more than 10 times and has successfully produced a number of professionals in various creative and sports fields. The event, which took place from December 25th to 30th, 2019, was attended by 568 participants from various regions in Indonesia.

This festival competed for funding and the rotating trophy of the Chairman of MNSBDI for the region that achieved the overall champion.
