Getting More Advanced, Twitter Introduces the Story Feature!

Kapanlagi.com - After a long wait by its users, Twitter has officially introduced its own story feature. The social media platform, which was launched in 2006, named its story feature Fleets. Twitter launched Fleets so that its users can have another way to express themselves. Previously, Twitter users were limited to only text, but now with Fleets, users can upload short videos about what they want to share.

That thing you didn’t Tweet but wanted to but didn’t but got so close but then were like nah.

According to the Twitter Blog, many users feel the need to express themselves through Twitter tweets, but always feel too public and burdened by likes and retweets. As a result, many users only save their tweets for themselves or delete them when they receive likes or retweets. Based on that, they created Fleets.

1. Update First

To enjoy the Fleets feature on Twitter, users are required to first update their Twitter applications to the latest version. Available on Android and iOS, Fleets will appear at the top of the Twitter screen, similar to Instagram Stories.

2. Like Instagram Story

Fleets on Twitter are similar to Instagram Stories. On the left side, there is a plus sign (+) used to create our Fleets. Next to it, there are Fleets posts from the accounts we follow and mutual accounts (accounts that follow each other). To view other people's Fleets, we just need to tap once on the Fleets post we want.

Since it is still new, Fleets does not have many features yet. Currently, its users are limited to posting text, photos, videos, and changing the background only. Stickers, filters, and other supporting features are not available yet. Nevertheless, Fleets marks a new journey for Twitter to compete in the world of social media.
