Head of the Positive Covid-19 Office, Dispora Conducts Spraying & WFH

Kapanlagi.com - The Office of Youth, Sports and Tourism (Dispora Wisata) in Malang City is required to work from home or Work From Home (WFH). This decision was made after the Head of the Office and 2 others were tested positive for Covid-19.

The Mayor of Malang, Sutiaji, said that working from home will be implemented starting today, Thursday (5/11) until Monday (9/11). During the work from home period, the office will be sterilized in the Gajayana Stadium area in Malang City.

"I received information that the Head of the Office tested positive, and we found out after he went to Bali," said Sutiaji at the Malang City Hall, Thursday (5/11).

The Head of Dispora Wisata in Malang City, Ida Ayu Made Wahyuni, is currently on leave and went back to Bali. However, it was later discovered that she tested positive for Covid-19.

When tracking and tracing was carried out with rapid testing and swabbing for reactive individuals, it was found that two people were tested positive for Covid-19. As a result, the decision to implement WFH (Work From Home) was made. "According to the regulation, WFH must be implemented whether we like it or not. I requested it yesterday," he emphasized.

"After tracking and tracing, everyone was swabbed, and there were 2 positive cases, including Ms. Kadis, Kasi, and Staff. They have been isolated and placed in a safehouse," he explained.

Sutiaji also explained about the Dispora Wisata staff who passed away due to Covid-19 on Thursday (5/11). The Mayor ensured that the Head of Destination and Tourism Industry Division of Dispora Wisata Kota Malang did not die because of Covid-19.

"He had been hospitalized since last week. He had a history of various illnesses and was already sick in his daily life. Due to pneumonia, he was admitted to the hospital and referred to RSSA. He was referred to RSSA yesterday and passed away yesterday," he elaborated.

2. Conduct Spraying

The Covid-19 Task Force in Malang City will conduct spraying and sterilization of the Dispora Wisata office. Before returning to work, it will be ensured that the location is declared sterile and safe. "It will also be done alternately, not everyone will go to the office directly, some will work from home and some will work from the office," he emphasized.

Before Dispora Wisata, the Malang City Social Office also experienced a similar situation. The Social Office was temporarily vacated and sterilized due to Covid-19 cases.

"This is a matter of our collective vigilance, as it happened to the Social Office yesterday. We continue to anticipate. Don't be complacent and must remain vigilant," he said.
