Held This Weekend, BSI International Expo 2025 Presents Exhibition, Seminar & Entertainment, and Business Matching

Kapanlagi.com - The annual BSI International Expo 2025 is once again organized by PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI). This event will take place from June 26 to 29, 2025, at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC). In addition, this event also serves as a tangible manifestation of BSI's commitment to accelerating the growth of an inclusive halal ecosystem that can compete globally.

Anton Sukarna, Director of Sales & Distribution at BSI, stated that BSI plays a strategic role in supporting the development of the halal industry in Indonesia. According to him, with a large Muslim population and a continuously developing halal sector, Indonesia has strong potential to become the center of the global halal ecosystem.

"This second-year expo is an important momentum to harness global potential, strengthen the halal sector, and position Indonesia as a leading country in the halal industry," said Anton at a press conference held in South Jakarta on Monday (June 23, 2025).

Data from the Global Islamic Economic Indicator (GIEI) 2023–2024 shows that Indonesia now ranks third in the world after Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, reflecting significant growth in various halal sectors such as Islamic finance, pharmaceuticals, tourism, and entertainment.

1. Compiled Based on Three Main Pillars 

The BSI International Expo 2025 is organized based on three main pillars: Exhibition, Seminar & Entertainment, and Business Matching. These three pillars serve as the foundation for creating a space for collaboration, education, and entertainment that holds sharia values.

“Through this approach, BSI demonstrates its seriousness in strengthening strategic sectors and reinforcing Indonesia's position in the global halal economy map,” said Anton.

2. Presenting More Than 330 Tenants 

This year, the expo features more than 330 tenants from 25 industry categories, including halal food & beverages, Muslim fashion, beauty, hajj & umrah services, property, automotive, and gold.

“In addition to focusing on empowering MSMEs, this year we are expanding BSI's role into two other strategic sectors, namely the hajj ecosystem and the gold business,” added Anton.

The event is open to the public and offers a variety of halal products, interactive booths, and attractive discount programs from BSI and selected MSMEs.

3. There are Educational Seminars and Spiritual Studies Too!

The BSI International Expo will also feature various seminars, talk shows, and Islamic studies discussing topics such as investment, sharia lifestyle, and halal economic development.

Among these is the Halal Economy Seminar, which will be presented by BSI's Finance Director Ade Cahyo Nugroho and BSI's Chief Economist Banjaran Surya Indrastomo. There will also be a Special Study with Ustaz Hilman Faiz and Koh Dennis Lim, adding a spiritual dimension to the series of educational events.

4. Business Matching: Support for Halal Product Exports

One of the main highlights of this expo is the business matching between 148 SMEs fostered by BSI and more than 50 buyers from 16 countries. The SMEs are divided into two categories: Category A (96 SMEs) that are ready for export and Category B (52 SMEs) that are still focused on the domestic market.

“BSI not only facilitates promotion but also opens real negotiation opportunities to expand the reach of Indonesian halal products to international markets,” Anton explained.

He added, “This business matching is tangible evidence that BSI supports Indonesia as a key player in the global halal supply chain, not just as a consumer.”

5. Islamic Entertainment and Intimate Evening with Maher Zain

In addition to exhibitions and education, the BSI International Expo 2025 will also feature Islamic music performances with over 20 artists. One of the highlight events is an Intimate Evening with Maher Zain, an international religious musician who will be returning to perform in Indonesia.

“The presence of Maher Zain is highly anticipated. This year, Alhamdulillah he can perform live at the expo,” said Saut Parulian Saragih, SEVP Digital Banking BSI.

Other artists who will enliven the entertainment stage include Denny Caknan, Putri Ariani, and Maliq & D'Essentials, who will perform with a fresh and modern sharia atmosphere.

6. How to Attend the BSI International Expo 2025

This event also serves as a form of appreciation from BSI to its customers. To attend, visitors only need to register through the official BSI website and have an active BYOND account, having completed at least one transaction (such as a transfer, donation, or opening a hajj savings account).

“This is our way of appreciating our customers and strengthening engagement with the sharia digital ecosystem,” Saut explained.

He also added that customers can meet the requirements through transactions such as opening a hajj savings account, gold installment, or other BYOND transactions.

7. Various Attractive Promotions During the Expo

BSI also presents various promotions during the event, including:

• Vehicle purchases with special margins starting at 2%
• Cashback or vouchers up to Rp350,000
• Umrah packages starting from Rp22 million
• BSI Griya Sharia KPR program with special margins

In addition, BSI will also introduce the latest features of the BYOND application, which will be officially launched during the expo.
