According to information from Liputan6.com, Thursday (2/9/2021), there are many reports from Instagram users on Down Detector. There are various comments regarding Instagram being down on the Down Detector page.
"I thought my neighbor's wifi was down, turns out Instagram is down," wrote @Fahrul.
There is also a comment from another user named @toothlesser who wrote, "can't refresh! down?"
According to Down Detector, reports of Instagram being down started increasing at 13:17 WIB with a total of 259 reports. The number continued to rise and reached 703 reports at 14:17.
KapanLagi.com conducted tests on the Instagram application and until now, at 15:57, the timeline news feed still cannot be refreshed.

According to the Down Detector map, there are countries in Southeast Asia besides Indonesia that are experiencing Instagram down. These countries include Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
