Kapanlagi.com - The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) has successfully addressed a total of 1,940,399 negative content on websites and social media platforms during the period from October 20, 2024, to May 26, 2025.

“Of the 1,743,528 negative content on websites handled by Komdigi, gambling content ranks first with a percentage of 76.8% or 1,339,719 content,” said the Director General of Digital Space Supervision, Alexander Sabar, at the Komdigi Ministry Office on Tuesday (27/05/2025).

This achievement reflects Komdigi's commitment to creating a safe and productive digital space for all Indonesian citizens.

In addition to gambling content, Alexander also revealed that pornography content ranks second, with a total of 390,074 content or about 22%.

1. Strengthen Collaboration

He added that fraudulent content, intellectual property rights violations, hoaxes, and information security breaches are also a concern. However, the process of blocking this content requires verification among relevant ministries and agencies.

The handling of this negative content also involves recommendations from various sectoral agencies, including content related to terrorism, radicalism, and fake news. This proactive step reflects an increasingly integrated cross-sector approach to maintaining Indonesia's digital space.

“To that end, we continue to strengthen collaboration with digital platforms, relevant ministries/agencies, and the wider community in safeguarding the digital space from harmful content, especially online gambling and pornography,” he continued.

2. Enhance Capabilities

Meanwhile, in the realm of social media, a total of 196,871 negative content has been addressed. The Meta platform (Facebook, Instagram, and Threads) contributed more than 79,000 pieces of content, followed by: X (Twitter): 28,588 pieces, Google: 22,046 pieces, TikTok: 4,100 pieces, and Telegram: 1,477 pieces.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, through the Directorate General of Digital Space Supervision, continues to commit to enhancing capabilities and response speed, particularly regarding online gambling and pornography content.

“We also urge all parties to educate the public to responsibly utilize the digital space together,” emphasized Alex.

With this achievement, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics reaffirms its position as the frontline in maintaining internet ethics, security, and comfort in Indonesia.
