After going viral, the film has received both praise and criticism from various parties, including Edi Darmawan Salihin, Mirna's father. Edi Darmawan Salihun feels deceived by Netflix.

However, in the film, Edi Darmawan Salim, who spoke about the case, appeared very confident. This was responded by famous lawyer Otto Hasibuan, as the legal representative of Jessica Wongso in the case.

According to the father-in-law of Jessica Mila, there is nothing wrong with Netflix because it tells various facts about the cyanide coffee case. Otto also said that after the interview was finished, before the film was aired, the interviewee was not allowed to see the interview results.

"What's wrong with Netflix? There's nothing wrong. Netflix only tells facts, that's what a documentary film is," said Otto Hasibuan when met in the Senayan area, South Jakarta recently.

"That's why at that time, after the interview, they were not allowed to watch the film first. Not allowed," he continued.

2. Surprised by Edi's Argument Feeling Deceived

Otto also explained that he or other interviewees are not allowed to retract their statements after the interview is finished.

"This is the work of journalists, whatever the content is, it is determined (to be aired) and I am not allowed to watch it, including retracting my own statements (during shooting/interview). Once it's done, it can't be changed," he said.

Because of this, Otto was also surprised when Edi Darmawan Salihin felt deceived. Especially since they were involved as interviewees in the film Ice Cold: Murder, Coffee, Jessica Wongso and had signed a statement before the film was officially released on Netflix.

"So if he says he feels deceived, how can he be deceived? Everyone has already signed, right?" he said.
